‎A person comes to someone whom they had wronged and asks for forgiveness, but the wronged person refuses, saying, "I will not forgive you. I want my rights on the Day of Judgment!" Here, it is said: If Allah knows the sincerity of the servant's repentance, then Allah will take care of the right of this person who refused to forgive him.

Muhammad b. Sirīn (d. 110) said:

“I have never envied anyone for anything.

As if they are from the people of Hell, then how can I envy them for a worldly matter while their destination is Hell?

And if they are from the people of Paradise, then how can I envy a man from its people while Allah has guaranteed for him His Pleasure.”

Muslim (a narrator) said: I have not heard anything better than this from the speech of Ibn Sirīn.

Imam Al-Bukhari reported a Hadith that Abu bakr assidiq asked the prophet to teach a duaa he would say in the prayer and the prophet taught him to say:

عن أبي بكرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه أنَّهُ قالَ لِرَسولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلِّمْنِي دُعَاءً أدْعُو به في صَلَاتِي، قالَ: قُلْ: *اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، ولَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إلَّا أنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لي مَغْفِرَةً مِن عِندِكَ، وارْحَمْنِي إنَّكَ أنْتَ الغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ*

‎...Seeking forgiveness is not only for sins and acts of disobedience, rather seeking forgiveness is also required for acts of obedience, due to what occurs of inattentiveness and heedlessness in them (from the servant), and not establishing them (the acts of worship) as they should truly be established.
