The Path of the Strangers

✍️ Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) he said:

“The people of Islam are strangers among mankind,

and the believers are strangers among the people of Islam,

and the people of knowledge are strangers among the believers,

and the people of the Sunnah—those who distinguish it from desires and innovations—are strangers.

And those who call to it and are patient upon the harm of those who oppose them are even more strange than them.

But these are truly the people of Allah, so do not feel estranged from them.

Rather, their estrangement is among the majority, about whom Allah (تعالى) said:

﴿ وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ﴾

‘And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the path of Allah.’ (Qur’an 6:116)

So those strangers are the ones close to Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ), and their estrangement is the estrangement of loneliness.”

👉 🌙 As These Blessed Nights Draw to a Close… What Comes After?

Imam Malik Ibn Anas (May Allah have Mercy on him) said:

“It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was shown the lifespans of the people before him — and it was as though he saw the lifespan of his Ummah to be shorter, such that they would not reach the same level of deeds. So Allah granted him Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.”

📖 Lata’if al-Ma’arif (p. 192)

Praise and thanks be to Allah in every situation.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we pass the 29th night of Ramadan and whether one extra night remains or not, this is a moment to reflect… 🤍

Ramadan is not just a season we visit, but a path we carry forward.

The deeds we did in Ramadan can be carried forward throughout the entire year:

So don’t abandon the Salah
And don’t abandon Sunnah fasting
And don’t leave off giving charity
And don’t close the door between you and Allah.

Remember that consistency — even in small amounts and deeds — is beloved to Allah.

🤲 May Allah accept all of our deeds, forgive our shortcomings, and allow us to carry out acts of worship throughout the year.

🤲 May Allah grant us long lives upon His obedience and bless us to witness many more Ramadans, in safety and well-being, striving each time for His pleasure.

🤲 Aameen.🌙

🕌 May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.

"Their way of request therein will be Subhanaka Allahumma (Glory to You, O Allah!) and Salam (peace, safe from each and every evil) will be their greetings therein (Paradise)! and the close of their request will be: Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil-'Alamin [All the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]."

📖 Qur’an (10:10)

Fast Six Days of Shawwāl and Gain the Reward of Fasting the Entire Year

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Allah has made a good deed equal to ten like it; so a month is like ten months, and fasting six days after Eid al-Fitr completes the year.”

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Targhīb (Hadith no. 1007)

Explanation:

• There are various narrations encouraging the fasting of these six days.

• This reward is tremendous and one should be highly encouraged and keen to attain it.

• These six days can be fasted on any days in Shawwāl after Eid al-Fitr, since it is not allowed to fast on Eid itself.

• They do not have to be fasted consecutively, but can be observed during any time throughout the month of Shawwāl.

• Some scholars mentioned that if a person has missed obligatory fasts (from Ramaḍān), they should begin with making those up first.

• Others scholars mentioned it is permissible to fast the six days of Shawwāl before making up any missed fasts.

Some scholars mentioned that from the signs of acceptance of Ramaḍān is the ability to continue doing good deeds after it, therefore one should be keen to carry out these extra fasts in the hope that one is included in that sign.

🤲 May Allah accept our fasting and righteous deeds and help us to remember Him, thank Him, and Worship Him in the best way. Aameen.

And Allah knows best.

May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.

📖 Knowledge Requires Truthfulness!

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy…

Imām al-Awza'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

"Learn truthfulness before you learn knowledge."

📙 Reported in al-Jami' by al-Khatib al-Baghdadi (1/304).

And from the foremost sources of Islamic knowledge are:

1. The Qur’an

Allah says:

َمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حَدِيثًا
“And who is more truthful in speech than Allah?”
— (Surah An-Nisāʾ 4:87)

2. The Ahadeeth of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever intentionally lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire.”
(Emphasising the seriousness of truthfulness).
📚 Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

3. The Sayings of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them)

A man once asked Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) for advice. He replied, “Do not speak.” The man said that he could not live among people without talking. So Salman said, “If you must speak, then speak the truth; otherwise, be silent.”

📙 Jāmiʿ al-ʿUlūm wal-Ḥikam (p. 144)

And Allah knows best.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad.
