🌟 A Beautiful & Beneficial Dhikr to Say After Obligatory Prayers and Before Sleep 🌟

🕌 Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him) is reported to have said:

“Whoever says after every obligatory prayer and when he lies down to sleep:

‎اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، عَدَدَ الشَّفْعِ وَالْوِتْرِ، وَكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ الطَّيِّبَاتِ الْمُبَارَكَاتِ

“Allāhu akbaru kabīrā, ʿadada ash-shafʿi wal-witr, wa kalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti at-tayyibāti al-mubārakāt” (three times),

‘Allah is the Greatest, very great; by the number of the even and the odd; and [by] the complete, pure, and blessed words of Allah.’

And says:

“Lā ilāha illAllāh”

“There is none worthy of worship but Allah.”

(the same number of times as the above),

It will be a light for him in his grave, a light on the bridge (over Hell), and a light on the ṣirāṭ (the path over Hellfire), until it leads him into Paradise, or until he enters Paradise.”

📚 Narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in al-Muṣannaf, al-Suyūṭī in Jāmiʿ al-Aḥādīth (who graded its chain as ḥasan), and al-Muttaqī al-Hindī in Kanz al-ʿUmmāl (also grading its isnād as ḥasan).

🔹 The Complete Dhikr:

Three times:
“Allāhu akbaru kabīrā, ʿadada ash-shafʿi wal-witr, wa kalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti at-tayyibāti al-mubārakāt”

Three times:
“Lā ilāha illAllāh, ʿadada ash-shafʿi wal-witr, wa kalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti at-tayyibāti al-mubārakāt”

Notes:
This narration is attributed to Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him), a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, and hence it is classified as a saying of a Companion, not a direct Prophetic hadith, or a hadith qudsi (where the Prophet (ﷺ) conveys something that Allah the All-Mighty said).

However, some scholars accept such types of narrations due to them carrying the ruling of ar-rafʿ (attribution to the Messenger ﷺ), since the nature of these narrations is not the type of thing they would have said from their own opinion, as is apparent.

And Allah knows best.

Sincerity, Tawheed, and the True Value of Our Deeds

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy…

Allah سبحانه وتعالى warns us about actions that look good on the outside but are worthless in the Hereafter due to wrong belief, wrong intention, or not following the Sunnah.

Allah says:

“And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.”
Surah Al-Furqān 25:23

This means that on the Day of Judgement, some people will come with deeds that appear great, but Allah will reject them because they were not based upon correct belief or they were not done sincerely for Him.

Allah also says:

“Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): ‘I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilāh (God) is One Ilāh (God – Allah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.’”
Surah Al-Kahf 18:110

This verse teaches us that our deeds must be founded upon tawheed (singling out Allah alone in worship) and carried out sincerely for Him.

The scholars stated that there are two conditions for righteous actions to be accepted:

1️⃣ Sincerity for Allah alone (Ikhlāṣ)
2️⃣ Following the Sunnah

Narrations From the Sunnah

1️⃣ The Bankrupt Person (Al-Muflis)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Do you know who is the bankrupt?”
The Companions said: “The bankrupt among us is the one who has neither money with him nor property.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The real bankrupt of my Ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting and charity, but he comes having abused this person, slandered that person, unlawfully taken the wealth of this person, shed the blood of that person, and beaten this person. So, his good deeds will be given to those he wronged. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, their sins will be thrown upon him, then he will be thrown into the Hellfire.”
— Sahih Muslim

This shows that good deeds can be destroyed by violating the rights of people.

2️⃣ The First Three People Thrown Into the Fire

The Prophet ﷺ said that among the first to be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be three types of people:
• A man who died as what people thought was a martyr
• A man who gained knowledge and recited the Qur’an
• A man who was wealthy and gave charity

Each of them will admit the blessings Allah gave them, but Allah will say to each one respectively:

“You did it so that people would say: ‘He is brave,’ ‘He is learned,’ ‘He is generous’ — and it was said. Then he will be dragged on his face and thrown into the Fire.”
— Summarised meaning from Sahih Muslim (see Hadith 1905)

So their actions looked pure, but their intention was for people, not for Allah.

Important Lessons
• Deeds are only accepted if they are for Allah alone and done according to His Messenger ﷺ.
• Showing off, seeking fame, or doing deeds for praise destroys reward.
• Oppressing others destroys our good deeds even if we prayed, fasted, and gave charity.
• Tawheed is the foundation of every accepted action.

Final Advice

Purify your belief
Check your intention before, during, and after every deed
Follow the Sunnah
Avoid harming anyone
Seek forgiveness often

May Allah make our deeds sincere, accepted, and heavy on the scale — and protect us from deeds that become like dust. آمين

And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all those who follow them in goodness until the Last Day.

🌿 A Beautiful Sunnah With a Powerful Promise: 🌿

🌿 The Reward of Praying 4 Rak‘ahs Before & After Zhuhr 🌿

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy…

Umm Ḥabībah (رضي الله عنها) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever regularly performs four Rak‘ahs before the Zhuhr prayer and four after it, Allah will make the Fire forbidden for him.”
— Ahmad, Abu Dāwūd, al-Tirmidhī, al-Nasā’ī, Ibn Mājah — With a ḥasan (good) chain of narration.

🌸 The Virtue of the 12 Rawātib
The Prophet ﷺ also said:

“Whoever prays twelve Rak‘ahs of Sunnah in a day and night, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

These are:
4 before Zhuhr
2 after Zhuhr
2 after Maghrib
2 after ‘Ishā’
2 before Fajr

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) is reported to have said:
“If Allah gives you a house in Jannah, He will let you live in it.”

That is a powerful reminder of Allah’s promise and favours.

“Indeed, Allah does not break His promise.”
— Sūrat Āl ‘Imrān (3:9)

“And if you were to count the favours of Allah, you could never number them.
Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”

— Sūrat an-Naḥl (16:18)

🌸 Extra Benefit Related to Zhuhr
Although the Rawātib (regular sunnahs) for Zhuhr are 4 before and 2 after, some scholars noted that if you add an extra 2 Rak‘ahs after that, this completes the 4 after, doing what is mentioned the narration:

“Whoever regularly performs four Rak‘ahs before the Zhuhr prayer and four after it, Allah will make the Fire forbidden for him.”

By doing so, you combine two virtues with two intentions:
the virtue of praying the Rawātib (regular) Sunnah, and
the special virtue of four before Zhuhr and four after it.

May Allah make us among those who guard these beautiful Sunnah prayers and earn all the promised rewards. 🤲💛
Aamīn.

And Allah knows best.
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all who follow them in goodness until the Last Day.

🌪️ Everyday Tests — And How To Wipe Them Away

Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The trials a person faces in his family, his wealth, himself, his children, and his neighbor are expiated by fasting, prayer, charity, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.”

📚 Sahih Muslim (144).

The Evil of Arrogance When Reminded to Fear Allah

Allah says:

And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah", he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest!”

Qur’ān (2:206).

Ibn Masʿūd (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) said:

“Indeed one of the greatest sins before Allah is that a man says to another, ‘Fear Allah,’ and he replies, ‘Mind your own self.’”

📚 (Sahih). Recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Mu‘jam al-Kabīr (8587) and by al-Bayhaqī in Shuʿab al-Īmān (7896).

Surah Al-Kawthar — Contains a Powerful Promise from Allah

“Indeed, the one who hates you — he is the one cut off.”

Surah Al-Kawthar, (108:3).

Imam As-Sa‘di said in his Tafsir (Explantion):

“Indeed your hater” — meaning: the one who dislikes you, insults you, and tries to belittle you.
He is the one cut off” — meaning: he is cut off from every good; his deeds are cut off and his remembrance is cut off.

As for Muhammad ﷺ, he is truly complete, having the highest level of perfection possible for a created being — with his mention raised high, and with abundant supporters and followers. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.

Four Verses in the Morning and Evening, for Reflection and Reminder

ʿĀmir ibn ʿAbd Qays said:

“Four verses from the Book of Allah — if I recite them in the evening, I do not worry about what I will face that night; and if I recite them in the morning, I do not worry about what I will face that day:

1. {مَا يَفْتَحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ}
‘Whatever mercy Allah opens for people—none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds—none can release it after Him.’
(Sūrah Fāṭir, 35:2)

2. {وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَادَّ لِفَضْلِهِ يُصِيبُ بِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ}
‘If Allah intends good for you, none can repel His bounty; He grants it to whom He wills of His servants.’
(Sūrah Yūnus, 10:107)

3. {وَمَا مِن دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا}
‘There is no creature on earth except that its provision is upon Allah.’
(Sūrah Hūd, 11:6)

4. {سَيَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْرًا}
‘Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.’
(Sūrah al-Ṭalāq, 65:7)”

The Reward of Fasting and Praying in Ramadan: A Chance to Be Sinless Like a Newborn

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Abdur-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mentioned the month of Ramadan and said:

“Whoever fasts and prays during it with faith and seeking reward will be free from his sins like the day his mother gave birth to him.”

📚 Sahih Ibn Majah (1101). Graded as Sahih (authentic) by Al-Albani.

Is the hadith referring to minor sins, or both major and minor sins?

This hadith has various routes of transmission. However, regarding the specific wording, Shaykh Nooruddin Al-Sindi (d. 1138 AH) (may Allah have mercy on him) stated:

“The apparent meaning of the hadith is that it refers to both minor and major sins, and it is unlikely that it refers only to minor sins, due to the analogy used (i.e., the day his mother gave birth to him).”

— Al-Sindi’s Commentary on Sunan Ibn Majah, no. 1328.

And Allah knows best.

We ask Allah from His favour, bounty & forgiveness. Aameen.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his noble companions.

📢 Important Announcement: Seeking Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are about to enter the last ten nights of Ramadan 1447. Within these nights lies the blessed Laylatul Qadr – a night Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) describes as being “better than a thousand months.” (Surah Al-Qadr, 97:3)

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Whoever stands (in prayer) during Laylatul Qadr with faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.”

— (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 1901; Sahih Muslim, Hadith 760)

The Odd Nights to Seek Laylatul Qadr:

• 21st Night: Monday, 9th March 2026

• 23rd Night: Wednesday, 11th March 2026

• 25th Night: Friday, 13th March 2026

• 27th Night: Sunday, 15th March 2026

• 29th Night: Tuesday, 17th March 2026

Virtues of Laylatul Qadr:

1. Forgiveness of sins: A chance to have all previous sins wiped clean.

2. Immense reward: Worship on this night is worth more than 83 years of worship.

3. Descent of angels: The angels, including Jibreel (عليه السلام), descend with peace and blessings.

4. Acceptance of Du’as: An unparalleled opportunity to have your prayers accepted.

Wise Words from Shaykh Ibn Baz (رحمه الله):

According to Shaykh Ibn Baz (رحمه الله):

“The most correct view is that Laylatul Qadr moves through all the last ten nights, but it is most likely on the odd-numbered nights, particularly the night preceding the 27th day.”

“Whoever strives in ‘Ibadah (worship) during all of the last ten nights – offering Salah, reciting Qur’an, making Du’a, and participating in charitable acts – will undoubtedly catch Laylatul Qadr and attain what Allah has promised to those who do so with faith and seeking reward.”

— (From Fatwas of Ibn Baz, Volume 6)

Recommended Du’a for Laylatul Qadr:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka ‘Afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.

(O Allah, You are the Pardoning and You love to Pardon, so Pardon me.)

— (Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3513)

Encouragement:
The opportunity of Laylatul Qadr only comes once a year. Strive hard during these nights, increase your prayers, Qur’an recitation, Dhikr, Du’a, and charity. Imagine receiving the reward of more than 83 years of worship in just one night!

May Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) grant us the blessing of witnessing Laylatul Qadr, accept our deeds, forgive our sins, and envelop us in His boundless mercy. Ameen.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his family, his noble companions, and all those who follow them with righteousness until the Day of Judgment.

Strive During These Last 10 Nights: Perhaps You’ll Receive a Blessing From Allah That Makes You Happy in This World and the Hereafter

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

Seek the Night That Can Restore a Lifetime 🌙

As we move through the last ten nights of Ramadan, we are reminded to seek the Night of Decree — a night in which what may have been lost over a lifetime can be restored.

These nights are precious opportunities, and the believer searches for Laylat al-Qadr with prayer, remembrance, and sincere devotion.

Al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:

O you whose life has been wasted in nothing — recover what you have missed on the Night of Decree, for it is counted as a lifetime.”

📚 Laṭā’if al-Ma‘ārif (p.191)

Since we do not know exactly which night it is, the wise believer strives throughout the last ten nights — standing in prayer 🤲, remembering Allah, and seeking His forgiveness.

Perhaps on one of these nights, Allah will restore what years once took away.

May Allah allow us to reach Laylat al-Qadr, grant us sincerity in seeking it, and accept from us our prayers, supplications, and deeds.

O Allah, You are Most Pardoning, and You love to pardon, so pardon us.

🤲 Amīn.

The Path of the Strangers

✍️ Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) he said:

“The people of Islam are strangers among mankind,

and the believers are strangers among the people of Islam,

and the people of knowledge are strangers among the believers,

and the people of the Sunnah—those who distinguish it from desires and innovations—are strangers.

And those who call to it and are patient upon the harm of those who oppose them are even more strange than them.

But these are truly the people of Allah, so do not feel estranged from them.

Rather, their estrangement is among the majority, about whom Allah (تعالى) said:

﴿ وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ﴾

‘And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the path of Allah.’ (Qur’an 6:116)

So those strangers are the ones close to Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ), and their estrangement is the estrangement of loneliness.”

👉 🌙 As These Blessed Nights Draw to a Close… What Comes After?

Imam Malik Ibn Anas (May Allah have Mercy on him) said:

“It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was shown the lifespans of the people before him — and it was as though he saw the lifespan of his Ummah to be shorter, such that they would not reach the same level of deeds. So Allah granted him Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.”

📖 Lata’if al-Ma’arif (p. 192)

Praise and thanks be to Allah in every situation.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we pass the 29th night of Ramadan and whether one extra night remains or not, this is a moment to reflect… 🤍

Ramadan is not just a season we visit, but a path we carry forward.

The deeds we did in Ramadan can be carried forward throughout the entire year:

So don’t abandon the Salah
And don’t abandon Sunnah fasting
And don’t leave off giving charity
And don’t close the door between you and Allah.

Remember that consistency — even in small amounts and deeds — is beloved to Allah.

🤲 May Allah accept all of our deeds, forgive our shortcomings, and allow us to carry out acts of worship throughout the year.

🤲 May Allah grant us long lives upon His obedience and bless us to witness many more Ramadans, in safety and well-being, striving each time for His pleasure.

🤲 Aameen.🌙

🕌 May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.

"Their way of request therein will be Subhanaka Allahumma (Glory to You, O Allah!) and Salam (peace, safe from each and every evil) will be their greetings therein (Paradise)! and the close of their request will be: Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil-'Alamin [All the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)]."
