The Power of Duʿā on the Day of ʿArafah

Imam al-Awzāʿī said – may Allah have mercy on him said:

“I met people who used to save their needs for the Day of ʿArafah to ask Allah for them.
And some of them would say: ‘For fifty years I have been making duʿā on the Day of ʿArafah, and not a year passes except that I see it (that duʿā) get answered as clearly as the break of dawn.’”

Seize the Final Moments of Maximising Worship in the Last Hour of Dhul Hijjah.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and those who follow him. As for what follows:

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said,

"Indeed, deeds are judged by their endings" (narrated by Bukhari).

My dear brothers and sisters in faith, we are now in the final hour of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, which are blessed days where rewards are multiplied, and blessings are abundant.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days," referring to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah (narrated by Bukhari).

Allah says, "By the dawn, and by the ten nights" (Al-Fajr: 1-2).

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) explained that these ten nights refer to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. Furthermore the scholars have also explained that Allah only swears by something great, so this no doubt shows us the significance of these days.

Therefore we should seize these blessed moments by increasing our acts of worship, such as seeking forgiveness, dhikr, remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Quran, supplication, and charity. Let us use these last hours to draw closer to Allah, repent, and seek forgiveness, for these might be the good deeds that Allah accepts from us and raises our ranks.

We ask Allah to accept our good deeds and yours, and to make us among those who are accepted and forgiven. Let us strive in this remaining hour, for they might be the blessed conclusion of these days for us.

Wa sallallahu wa sallama wa baraka 'ala nabiyyina Muhammad wa 'ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in.

Wasalaam.

🌟 The Days of Tashreeq are Days for Eating, Drinking, and Remembering Allah 🌟

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

The Days of Tashreeq are the three days following Eid al-Adha (the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah).

These are special days in Islam which are dedicated to the remembrance of Allah, as well as enjoying the blessings of food and drink. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The days of Tashreeq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah." (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1141)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in His Book:

‎وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَاتٍ

"And remember Allah during the appointed days." [Surah Al-Baqarah, 203]

Imam al-Qurtubi (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in his Tafsir (explantion) of this verse:

"The appointed days refer to the days of Tashreeq, which are the three days after the Day of Sacrifice (the day of Eid). The scholars are in agreement about this."

Fasting During the Days of Tashreeq:
It is not allowed to fast during the days of Tashreeq expect for an obligatory fast. It was narrated by Ibn Umar and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with them): "It was not permitted to fast during the days of Tashreeq except for those (pilgrims on Hajj) who could not find a sacrificial animal." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Fasting (Kitab as-Siyam), Hadith 1997)

So the exception is for the pilgrim on Hajj who cannot find a sacrificial animal. Some scholars also held that the missed days of Ramadan can also be fasted, using this narration as an analogy. It was also mentioned other obligatory fasts, such as expiations are included too.

However in order to avoid an area of scholarly differing, it would be better to partake in and enjoy the blessings of food and drink with one’s family and the Muslims, since these days are for eating and drinking and are an extension of eid. It was narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Indeed, the Day of Arafah, the Day of Sacrifice, and the Days of Tashreeq are our Eid (festivals), we the people of Islam, and they are days of eating and drinking."

(Sunan an-Nasa'i, Hadith 3004, Classified as Hasan)

Gratitude and a Great Reward:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) also taught that the one who eats and is grateful has a similar reward to the one who fasts and is patient.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The one who eats and is grateful is like the status of the one who fasts and is patient." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2486, Classified as Hasan Gharīb).

Remembrance of Allah:
It is highly recommended to recite Takbeer ("Allahu Akbar") after every obligatory prayer from Fajr on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah (the day of Arafah) until Asr on the 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah (the last day of Tashreeq).

This practice is among the legislated acts during these days and reminds us of the greatness of Allah and His Oneness. The takbeer is said both restrictedly (after the obligatory prayer) and unrestrictedly (at all other times).

Shaykh Abdul Azeez Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

"Takbeer is prescribed both unrestrictedly and restrictedly during these days. The companions practiced both forms, which is evident in the Quranic verse: "And remember Allah during the appointed days" [Al-Baqarah: 203].

And the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "The days of Tashreeq are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah."

(Majmu' Fatawa wa Maqalat al-Sheikh Ibn Baz 26/89)

Mode of Takbeer:
The mode of the takbeer can be recited with the first takbeer said twice or three times, and it is verified from Ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and others from the Salaf (early generations of Islam).

Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illa-Allah, wa Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahil-hamd.

Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, there is none worthy of woship but Allah, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, and to Allah be all praise.

Number of Times to Recite the Takbeer After the Obligatory Salah:
Various narrations and scholarly reports indicate that it should be recited once, twice, or three times, based upon each respective view.

Celebration and Reflection:
These days give us a special opportunity to enjoy the meat from our sacrifices offered during Eid al-Adha, to spend time with friends and family, and show generosity and kindness to others. It is a time to strengthen our faith through acts of worship, showing gratitude to Allah for His favours, keeping of the family ties, and building brotherhood and sisterhood.

May Allah accept our deeds, forgive our sins, and grant us the strength to continuously remember Him in all circumstances. Aameen.

The Dhikr That Equals to Freeing 10 Slaves, 100 Good Deeds Written, 100 Bad Deeds Erased, and Brings Protection from the Shayṭān Until the Evening

From Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Whoever says:

“None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without any partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of all things.”

(one hundred times in a day), will have the equivalent of freeing ten slaves, and one hundred good deeds will be written for him, and one hundred sins will be erased from him. He will be protected (ḥirzan) from the devil that day until evening. No one will bring anything better than what he brought, except the one who does more than him.”

Note: Ḥirzan means protection or a safeguard.

🕋 Virtue of Muharram

Muharram is the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar and one of the four sacred months in Islam. It is known as the Month of Allah (Shahrullah).

Allah says:

“Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them…”
(Surah At-Tawbah 9:36)

🕋 Virtue of Fasting in Muharram

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best fasting after the month of Ramadan is in the month of Allah, Muharram.”
(Sahih Muslim 1163)

Muharram is especially known for the reward of voluntary fasting, so it is highly recommended to increase in voluntary fasting during this month.

🌙 Fasting on the Day of Ashura – 10th Muharram

The Prophet ﷺ said:

Fasting the day of Ashura expiates the sins of the past year.”
(Sahih Muslim 1162)

📜 Why Ashura is Special

When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on the 10th of Muharram. They said:

“This is the day Allah saved Musa (Moses) and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh.”

The Prophet ﷺ responded:

“We are more entitled to Musa than they are,”
and he fasted on that day and encouraged the Muslims to fast.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 2004, Sahih Muslim 1130)

📅 Key Dates

1st Day of Muharram:
Thursday, 26th June 2025

9th Muharram — Day Before Ashura (Tasua): Friday, 4th July 2025

Day of Ashura (10th Muharram): Saturday, 5th July 2025

11th Muharram — Day After Ashura: Sunday, 6th July 2025

Ways to Fast During Ashura

1. Fasting the 9th & 10th or the 10th & 11th

Fasting the 9th & 10th. This is what the Prophet ﷺ intended when he said:
“If I live till next year, I will certainly fast the 9th [along with the 10th].”
(Muslim 1134)

In Another Narration:
“Fast a day before it or a day after it.”
(Reported by Al-Haithami in Majma’ az-Zawaa’id, no. 4315)

This scholars have explained that fasting the 9th or 11th alongside the 10th (the Day of Ashura) distinguishes from the Jewish practice of fasting only the 10th.

2. Permissible:
Fasting Ashura (10th) alone.

3. Recommended by Some Scholars:

Fasting all three days — 9th, 10th, and 11th Muharram.

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim* (رحمه الله) said in Zād al-Maʿād that the fasting of ʿĀshūrāʾ can be observed in three ways:

1. The most complete way is to fast three days: the 9th, 10th, and 11th of Muharram — before, on, and after the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ.

2. One may also fast two days — the 10th along with either the 9th or the 11th.

3. It is also valid to fast only the 10th, which is the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ.

☪️ Sunnah Fasting on Saturdays

This year, Ashura falls on a Saturday. There is some scholarly difference about whether it is allowed to single out Saturdays for Sunnah fasting. The disagreement is about the authenticity of a narration on this topic.

However, Shaykh Uthaymeen stated that fasting on special days such as the middle of the month (the white days), the Day of Arafah, Ashura, the six days of Shawwal, or the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah is permissible even if they fall on a Saturday—because the intention is for the virtue of these days, not because it is Saturday itself.

🌟 Fasting on the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ (10th Muharram) wipes away the sins of the previous year.
— (Sahih Muslim)

🕰️ The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays and said:
“Deeds are presented on Mondays and Thursdays, and I love that my deeds be presented while I am fasting.”
— (Tirmidhi, Hasan)

📚 Imām Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said in Zād al-Maʿād:

The fasting of ʿĀshūrāʾ can be observed in three ways:

1️⃣ Best: Fasting 3 days — 9th, 10th & 11th Muharram
2️⃣ Better: Fasting the 10th with the 9th or 11th
3️⃣ Valid: Fasting the 10th alone

⚠️ Ashura on a Saturday?

Yes, this year ʿĀshūrāʾ falls on a Saturday. Some ask whether it’s allowed to fast on a Saturday alone.

🗣️ Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymeen (رحمه الله) clarified:

If a Saturday coincides with a day that has virtue (like ʿĀshūrāʾ, Arafah, the white days, etc.), then fasting on it is permissible, because the intention is for the virtue of the day, not because it is Saturday.
→ (Majmoo’ al-Fataawā, Vol. 20)

🤲 May Allah grant us the ability to fast these noble days, forgive our sins, accept our efforts, and increase us in sincerity and reward.

🌟 Do Not Let an Hour Pass Without the Remembrance of Allah

In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Imam Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله) said:
“On the Day of Judgement, the son of Adam will be shown the hours of his life, and every hour in which he did not remember Allah, he will be filled with regret for it.”
📚 Jāmi‘ al-‘Ulūm wal-Ḥikam (p. 135)

𝒜𝓈𝒶𝓁𝒶𝒶𝓂𝓊-‘𝒶𝓁𝒶𝒾𝓀𝓊𝓂 𝓌𝒶 𝓇𝒶𝒽𝓂𝓊𝓉 𝓊𝓁𝓁𝒶𝒽𝒾 𝓌𝒶 𝒷𝒶𝓇𝒶𝓀𝒶𝓉𝓊𝒽𝓊

Dear Muslims, even a simple action such as saying Bismillah before eating, Alhamdulillah after eating or drinking, remembering Allah when sitting or lying down, and making short bursts of dhikr like:

Subḥān Allāh
Alḥamdulillāh
Allāhu Akbar
Lā ilāha illā Allāh

…can fill our hours with remembrance and protect us from this regret on the Day of Judgement, insha’ Allah.

Furthermore,
Reciting the Qur’an, making du‘ā’, praying, seeking knowledge, doing one’s morning and evening remembrances (adhkhar) and engaging in any act of worship—all of this falls under the remembrance of Allah.

And when a person becomes accustomed to these small actions, by the permission of Allah, their love for worship and remembrance increases, such that their voluntary deeds grow, and they may become among those who are foremost in good, elevated in reward and nearness to Allah, by the permission of Allah.

Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their chastity and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so — for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.”
📖 Surah al-Aḥzāb (33:35)

And He also said:
“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. Indeed, Allah is the Owner of Power, the Most Strong.”
📖 Surah adh-Dhāriyāt (51:56–57)

And indeed, the perfect knowledge of all things, is with Allah.

May Allah, help us to remember Him, be grateful to Him, and to worship Him in the best way.
Aameen.

The Path of Guidance: Understanding the Ruling of Celebrating the Mawlid (the Birthday of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him])

(1/2):

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"I have left you upon a clear path. It’s night is like its day. No one deviates from it except that he is destroyed." [1]

This is a tremendous saying by our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and it shows the clarity and completeness of the guidance he left behind for his Ummah.

It is a simple message, and yet an instruction to his followers. A clear path to follow, no ambiguity, straight and leading to Allah, and also a warning for whoever deviates from it, that their affair will be at loss.

Celebrating the Prophet's birthday was not from the practices of the Prophet himself, nor from the guidance of his Companions, nor the four Imams, nor the first three generations of righteous Muslims (the Salaf), whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) attested to their righteousness in the authentic hadeeth [2].

The celebration of the Mawlid was first introduced in the 4th century of Islam by the Fatimid Shia dynasty in Egypt. This practice was not part of the early Islamic tradition and was established by the Fatimids as a way to promote their religious and political agenda. Over time, the Mawlid spread to various parts of the Muslim world and took on different forms, but its origins are rooted in the Fatimid era, reflecting the influence of Shia practices in shaping this observance.

However, there are still some in the Ummah today who argue in favour of this practice. We say to those Muslims: the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned against innovations in religious matters, saying, "Every innovation is a misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Fire." [3]

Indeed, drawing closer to Allah is only possible through obeying Allah and his Messenger (peace be upon him). Allah commands us in the Qur'an: "Say (O Muhammad to mankind): 'If you (really) love Allah, then follow me (i.e., accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'" [4]

The People of Knowledge from Ahlus-Sunnah (the People of Sunnah) called this verse (the ayah) of test, because it makes it clear that if someone truly loves Allah, then what will prove their claim is if they follow the way of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Path of Guidance: Understanding the Ruling of Celebrating the Mawlid (the Birthday of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him])

(2/2):

This means not adding to the religion or taking away from it, and this, in reality, is how one truly honours the religion and the Prophet (peace be upon him)—by being a true follower and not opposing his religious guidance!

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned against innovations, saying, "Whoever introduces into this affair of ours that which is not from it will have it rejected." [5] This is a strong warning, showing that there is no reward for introducing or following innovations.

What further demonstrates the serious consequences of innovating into the deen of Allah is that the Prophet (peace be upon him) foretold of a people who would be turned away from his lake (Al-Hawd) on the Day of Judgment. When he would say, "My followers, my followers!" it will be said to him, "You do not know what they innovated after you." [6]

It is also not established that the exact date of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) birth is known. Scholars differ on this, with the day (Monday) established in an authentic report, but no consensus on the date or month. The Prophet (peace be upon him) fasted on Mondays, saying, "That is the day I was born," [7] but this was never treated as a celebration. Instead, he taught us that there are only two Eids in Islam: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha [8]. Taking his birthday as an Eid goes against his teachings and the clear guidance he left for us (peace be upon him).

In conclusion, it is highly evident, based upon many proofs, that introducing or following new religious practices in Islam is considered an innovation that deviates from the pure teachings of Islam.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned his Ummah: "Every innovation is a misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Fire." Therefore, Muslims should strive to follow the clear path laid out by the Prophet and avoid practices that were never part of his guidance.

And Allah knows best.

🌟 A Beautiful & Beneficial Dhikr to Say After Obligatory Prayers and Before Sleep 🌟

🕌 Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him) is reported to have said:

“Whoever says after every obligatory prayer and when he lies down to sleep:

‎اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا، عَدَدَ الشَّفْعِ وَالْوِتْرِ، وَكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ الطَّيِّبَاتِ الْمُبَارَكَاتِ

“Allāhu akbaru kabīrā, ʿadada ash-shafʿi wal-witr, wa kalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti at-tayyibāti al-mubārakāt” (three times),

‘Allah is the Greatest, very great; by the number of the even and the odd; and [by] the complete, pure, and blessed words of Allah.’

And says:

‎لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ

“Lā ilāha illAllāh”

“There is none worthy of worship but Allah.”

(the same number of times as the above),

It will be a light for him in his grave, a light on the bridge (over Hell), and a light on the ṣirāṭ (the path over Hellfire), until it leads him into Paradise, or until he enters Paradise.”

📚 Narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in al-Muṣannaf, al-Suyūṭī in Jāmiʿ al-Aḥādīth (who graded its chain as ḥasan), and al-Muttaqī al-Hindī in Kanz al-ʿUmmāl (also grading its isnād as ḥasan).

🔹 The Complete Dhikr:

Three times:
“Allāhu akbaru kabīrā, ʿadada ash-shafʿi wal-witr, wa kalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti at-tayyibāti al-mubārakāt”

Three times:
“Lā ilāha illAllāh, ʿadada ash-shafʿi wal-witr, wa kalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti at-tayyibāti al-mubārakāt”

Notes:
This narration is attributed to Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him), a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, and hence it is classified as a saying of a Companion, not a direct Prophetic hadith, or a hadith qudsi (where the Prophet (ﷺ) conveys something that Allah the All-Mighty said).

However, some scholars accept such types of narrations due to them carrying the ruling of ar-rafʿ (attribution to the Messenger ﷺ), since the nature of these narrations is not the type of thing they would have said from their own opinion, as is apparent.

And Allah knows best.

Sincerity, Tawheed, and the True Value of Our Deeds

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy…

Allah سبحانه وتعالى warns us about actions that look good on the outside but are worthless in the Hereafter due to wrong belief, wrong intention, or not following the Sunnah.

Allah says:

“And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.”
Surah Al-Furqān 25:23

This means that on the Day of Judgement, some people will come with deeds that appear great, but Allah will reject them because they were not based upon correct belief or they were not done sincerely for Him.

Allah also says:

“Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): ‘I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilāh (God) is One Ilāh (God – Allah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.’”
Surah Al-Kahf 18:110

This verse teaches us that our deeds must be founded upon tawheed (singling out Allah alone in worship) and carried out sincerely for Him.

The scholars stated that there are two conditions for righteous actions to be accepted:

1️⃣ Sincerity for Allah alone (Ikhlāṣ)
2️⃣ Following the Sunnah

Narrations From the Sunnah

1️⃣ The Bankrupt Person (Al-Muflis)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Do you know who is the bankrupt?”
The Companions said: “The bankrupt among us is the one who has neither money with him nor property.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The real bankrupt of my Ummah is the one who will come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting and charity, but he comes having abused this person, slandered that person, unlawfully taken the wealth of this person, shed the blood of that person, and beaten this person. So, his good deeds will be given to those he wronged. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, their sins will be thrown upon him, then he will be thrown into the Hellfire.”
— Sahih Muslim

This shows that good deeds can be destroyed by violating the rights of people.

2️⃣ The First Three People Thrown Into the Fire

The Prophet ﷺ said that among the first to be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be three types of people:
• A man who died as what people thought was a martyr
• A man who gained knowledge and recited the Qur’an
• A man who was wealthy and gave charity

Each of them will admit the blessings Allah gave them, but Allah will say to each one respectively:

“You did it so that people would say: ‘He is brave,’ ‘He is learned,’ ‘He is generous’ — and it was said. Then he will be dragged on his face and thrown into the Fire.”
— Summarised meaning from Sahih Muslim (see Hadith 1905)

So their actions looked pure, but their intention was for people, not for Allah.

Important Lessons
• Deeds are only accepted if they are for Allah alone and done according to His Messenger ﷺ.
• Showing off, seeking fame, or doing deeds for praise destroys reward.
• Oppressing others destroys our good deeds even if we prayed, fasted, and gave charity.
• Tawheed is the foundation of every accepted action.

Final Advice

Purify your belief
Check your intention before, during, and after every deed
Follow the Sunnah
Avoid harming anyone
Seek forgiveness often

May Allah make our deeds sincere, accepted, and heavy on the scale — and protect us from deeds that become like dust. آمين

And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all those who follow them in goodness until the Last Day.

🌿 A Beautiful Sunnah With a Powerful Promise: 🌿

🌿 The Reward of Praying 4 Rak‘ahs Before & After Zhuhr 🌿

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy…

Umm Ḥabībah (رضي الله عنها) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever regularly performs four Rak‘ahs before the Zhuhr prayer and four after it, Allah will make the Fire forbidden for him.”
— Ahmad, Abu Dāwūd, al-Tirmidhī, al-Nasā’ī, Ibn Mājah — With a ḥasan (good) chain of narration.

🌸 The Virtue of the 12 Rawātib
The Prophet ﷺ also said:

“Whoever prays twelve Rak‘ahs of Sunnah in a day and night, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

These are:
4 before Zhuhr
2 after Zhuhr
2 after Maghrib
2 after ‘Ishā’
2 before Fajr

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) is reported to have said:
“If Allah gives you a house in Jannah, He will let you live in it.”

That is a powerful reminder of Allah’s promise and favours.

﴿ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ
“Indeed, Allah does not break His promise.”
— Sūrat Āl ‘Imrān (3:9)

﴿ وَإِن تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَا ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
“And if you were to count the favours of Allah, you could never number them.
Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”

— Sūrat an-Naḥl (16:18)

🌸 Extra Benefit Related to Zhuhr
Although the Rawātib (regular sunnahs) for Zhuhr are 4 before and 2 after, some scholars noted that if you add an extra 2 Rak‘ahs after that, this completes the 4 after, doing what is mentioned the narration:

“Whoever regularly performs four Rak‘ahs before the Zhuhr prayer and four after it, Allah will make the Fire forbidden for him.”

By doing so, you combine two virtues with two intentions:
the virtue of praying the Rawātib (regular) Sunnah, and
the special virtue of four before Zhuhr and four after it.

May Allah make us among those who guard these beautiful Sunnah prayers and earn all the promised rewards. 🤲💛
Aamīn.

And Allah knows best.
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all who follow them in goodness until the Last Day.

Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The trials a person faces in his family, his wealth, himself, his children, and his neighbor are expiated by fasting, prayer, charity, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.”

The Evil of Arrogance When Reminded to Fear Allah

Allah says:

And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah", he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest!”

Qur’ān (2:206).

Ibn Masʿūd (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) said:

“Indeed one of the greatest sins before Allah is that a man says to another, ‘Fear Allah,’ and he replies, ‘Mind your own self.’”

📚 (Sahih). Recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Mu‘jam al-Kabīr (8587) and by al-Bayhaqī in Shuʿab al-Īmān (7896).

Surah Al-Kawthar — Contains a Powerful Promise from Allah

﴿ إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ ﴾
“Indeed, the one who hates you — he is the one cut off.”

Surah Al-Kawthar, (108:3).

Imam As-Sa‘di said in his Tafsir (Explantion):

“Indeed your hater” — meaning: the one who dislikes you, insults you, and tries to belittle you.
He is the one cut off” — meaning: he is cut off from every good; his deeds are cut off and his remembrance is cut off.

As for Muhammad ﷺ, he is truly complete, having the highest level of perfection possible for a created being — with his mention raised high, and with abundant supporters and followers. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.
