Personal Resentment Can Prevent Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy

Imam Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

"Among the sins which also prevent forgiveness is resentment, which is a Muslim's hatred towards his brother due to personal grudges. This prevents forgiveness during many of the times when forgiveness and mercy are granted."

☀️*Standing out Firmly with Justice*

Translated
By
Abbas Abu Yahya

🌻Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Madkhali said:

▪️▪️'It is obligatory that we educate and train ourselves upon speaking the truth, but before that, is to search for the truth.

You should stand on the side of the truth, standing out firmly with justice, witnesses for Allaah even if it is against your own-self or your parents and close relatives.

The sweetness of Imān is that you find pleasure and delight in obedience. So if you find in yourself delight for Praying, Fasting, giving in charity, caring for your parents, reciting the Qur’ān, striving in the cause of Allah and so on, then that is the sweetness of Imān.

*Part 1*
*Wiping Over Shoes When Making Wudu*

Compiled & Translated
By
Abbas Abu Yahya

*The Ahadeeth*

🔶1 - From al-Mughira bin Shu’aba
'That the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ performed Wudu and wiped over the socks and shoes.'

📚[Collected by Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi and he said this Hadeeth is Hasan Saheeh, Nisa’ee & authenticated by Al-Albaani]

🔶2 - From Aws bin Abi Aws who said:

‘One day I saw my father performing Wudu and he wiped over his shoes, so I asked: 'Do you wipe over them?'

He replied:
'I saw the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- do likewise.'

📚[Collected by Ahmad, Tabarani in 'al-Kabeer' & Al-Albaani said and this Isnaad is Saheeh, in ‘Thamaratul Mustataab fee Fiqh as-Sunnah wal Kitab’]

🔶3 From Abdikhair who said: I saw Ali -RadhiAllaahu anhu- perform Wudu and wipe over his shoes, then Ali said:
لولا أني رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فعل كما رأيتموني فعلت
لرأيت أن باطن القدمين هو أحق بالمسح من ظاهرهما.
'If I had not seen the Messenger of Allaah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam do as you have seen me just do, I would have held the opinion that the bottom of feet had more of a right to be wiped over than the top of the foot.'

📚[Collected by Ahmad, Darimi  & Al-Albaani said: and this Isnaad is Saheeh]

🌴From the Fatawa of Shaykh Al-Albaani

1 - What is the Ruling of wiping over shoes

Question:

Is it correct to wipe over shoes just like it is for wiping over the Khuff?

The Shaykh:

It is correct to wipe over shoes absolutely, just as....

Increase in Saying 'Lā ilāha ill-Allāh'

Al-Imām ibn Hazm (رحمه الله) said:

"Increase in saying لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ 'Lā ilāha illa-Allāh' (there is none is worthy of worship but Allah), for it can be perfectly said with the movement of the tongue, without moving the lips, and the person sitting next to you will not notice it."

*The Issue of wiping over Khuff & wiping over shoes*

By Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddeen al-Albaani

Questioner:
O noble shaykh, regarding the issue of wiping over Khuff and is this issue the same as wiping over shoes as many of the people of knowledge have opposed this?

Answer
Shaykh Al-Albaani:

‘Of course, indeed many of the people of knowledge opposed it and others agreed with it, and so what?

Is there an issue about which the scholars did not differ except for very few issues.

When it comes to differences, it is necessary that a Muslim....'

Victory and honour is from Allāh, and it is sought by the obedience of Allāh.

‎Allāh says in the Qurān:

‎مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا

‎Whosoever desires honour, power and glory then to Allah belong all honour, power and glory. (35:10)

‎The Imān Abdul-Rahmān Ibn Nāsir al Si’dī رحمه الله said in his explanation of this verse:

‎أي: يا من يريد العزة، اطلبها ممن هي بيده، فإن العزة بيد اللّه، ولا تنال إلا بطاعته

‎“What is meant by this verse is, O you who wants ‘izah (honour, power and glory), seek it from the one who possesses it, for indeed ‘izah (honour, power and glory) belongs to Allāh and it can only be attained except through by his obedience.”

‎When there is relief from Allāh, the Muslims should be grateful to Allāh by way of obedience.

‎When ‘Āisha رضي الله عنها وعن أبيها was made free of the false accusations and the relief came from Allāh, the first thing She رضي الله عنها وعن أبيها did was prostrate to Allāh.

‎May Allāh make us all grateful and obedient slaves of His until we meet Him تبارك وتعالى.
