Spending & Increase of Wealth
Translated

Allaah Ta'ala said:
《Shaytan threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahsha (evil deeds etc.); whereas Allaah promises you Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty, and Allaah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.》[al-Baqarah: 268]
🔳 Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen Rahimahullaah commented:
If a person says, how can Allaah Ta'ala increase the one who spends in wealth whilst we witness that spending tangibly decreases wealth. Therefore, if a person spends from ten Dirham then it becomes nine, so how is there an increase?
The Answer:
As for the increase of reward in the Hereafter, then that matter is clear, since a good deed is worth ten times the equivalent, and can be up to multiple times.
Whoever gives charity of the equivalent of a date from that which is good - and Allaah only accepts that which is good - and indeed Allaah cultivates that deed until it becomes like a mountain.
As for the tangible increase in the Dunyaa (worldly life) then that is from a number of considerations:
First point
That Allaah opens the door to Rizq (provisions) for a person, so much so that he could never imagine the amount, so his wealth increases.
Second point
Perhaps Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is causing this wealth which he spends to protect him from the harms of not spending that, if it had not been that he had spent in Sadaqa (charity) he may have fallen into a sin or mistake. This has been witnessed too, so spending protects wealth from harm.
Third point:
The blessings of spending whereby spending a little the fruits will be more than a lot and when blessings are wrenched away from spending and perhaps a person spends a lot in matters which do not benefit, or harm, and this is a matter which is testified to.
[Tafseer Surah al-Baqarah 3/349]

Striving in the Last 10 Nights of Ramadan & Seeking Laylatul Qadr
Jumu’ah Khutbah | Abu Ibraheem Ashraf Ali | (@SalafiPosts) | Ramadan 29.03.2024.
O Servants of Allah:
Tomorrow night we welcome some great blessed nights, and great goodness awaits every dedicated worshipper.
And happiness will be written for the one who takes advantage of them, through acts of obedience and hastening to do good deeds in them, and a great disappointment will be for the one who neglects them, and is lazy concerning them, and ignores its bounty and refuses to work in it.
Those nights are the last 10 nights of Ramadan, the best nights of the year.
There is a night in them that is better than a thousand months, in which a great reward awaits those who seek it and work in it.
On the authority of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said when the month of Ramadan began,
“Verily this month has presented itself to you. There is a night in it that is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of it has been deprived of all goodness, and none is deprived of its goodness except that he is truly deprived.”
[Narrated by Ibn Majah and authenticated by Imam Al-Albani].
So hasten to seek forgiveness from your Lord, and hasten to seek the means of your salvation and entry into Paradise.
And for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e. hasten earnestly to the obedience of Allah).
[Surah Al-Muttaffin: Ayah 26].
O Muslims:
Our Prophet (ﷺ) the Imam of the worshipers, who was forgiven his previous and future sins, used to strive extremely diligently during these last ten nights.
He would spend his nights praying, reading the Qur’an, and remembering Allah with his heart, tongue, and his limbs. His diligence included all types of things.
Obedience to Allah and various forms of coming close to Allah, in order to seize the opportunity and get the most and best of these virtuous nights, and in pursuit of Laylat al-Qadr and the blessings it contains.
On the authority of A'isha, may Allah be pleased with her, she said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to strive in worship during Ramadan more than he strove in any other time of the year; and he would strive even more during the last ten nights of Ramadan than he strove in the earlier part of the month. (Related by Muslim).
And he (ﷺ) would prepare himself diligently and wake up his family, and encourage them to engage in good deeds during it, so they would attain Allah’s Mercy and blessings and profit greatly from the last 10 nights.
A’isha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported:
When the last ten nights of Ramadan arrived, the Prophet, (ﷺ) would tighten his belt, spend the night in worship, and awaken his family.
Related by Bukhārī and Muslim.
So these seasons of goodness are among the blessings of Allah Almighty bestowed upon His servants. Goodness increases in them, and subsequently the reward increases in them.
So whoever takes advantage of what Allah has prescribed is one of those who are successful, and whoever neglects it has missed something that he may not witness again.
The servant does not know on what night Allah may free him from the fire in this month, so take advantage of what is left of the nights.
On the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "At every breaking of the fast, Allah has people whom He frees (meaning from the fire) and that happens every night"
[Narrated by Ibn Majah and authenticated by Imam Al-Albani].
Servants of Allah:
Due to the great virtue of Laylat al-Qadr, Allah Almighty revealed a complete surah in it, in which this night was mentioned repeatedly, indicating its virtue and exalting its status, and explaining the descending of angels during it.

Angels descend frequently on this night due to its abundance of blessings, and the angels descend with the descending of blessing and mercy, and it is a safe night from Every affliction and evil, due to its abundance of goodness.
Allah Almighty said:
Verily, We have sent it (this Qur’ân) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree).
And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?
The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allâh in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months).
Therein descend the angels and the Rûh [Jibrîl (Gabrîl)] by Allâh’s Permission with all Decrees,
(All that night), there is Peace (and Goodness from Allâh to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.
[Surah al Qadr, 1-5]
And Allah also praised its virtue and noted its blessing in His saying:
We sent it (this Qur’ân) down on a blessed night [(i.e. night of Al-Qadr]. Verily, We are ever warning [mankind that Our Torment will reach those who disbelieve in Our Oneness of Lordship and in Our Oneness of worship].
Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments.
May Allah allow us to reach that night, and grant us its blessings. Aameen
Second khutbah:
All praise and thanks be to Allah, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and all those who follow his guidance. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger who he sent as a mercy to the worlds.
O Muslims:
Whoever hopes for Allah’s forgiveness for his sins and atonement for his bad deeds, let him strive during the last ten nights of Ramadan and stand up and to pray seeking His reward.
And that means that you only seek the reward from Allah, seeking the face of Allah, standing up without hypocrisy or seeking fame.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said the prophet (ﷺ) said:
Whoever spends the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.
Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
And among the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), is asking Allah Almighty for Forgiveness during those nights, so pay attention to that, that perhaps Allah’s mercy will reach you and you will become happy in this world and the hereafter.
A’isha, (may Allah be pleased with her), asked the Prophet (ﷺ):
O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night the Night of Qadr is, what should I say in it?’
He said (ﷺ) say:
(Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa a‘fu ‘anni)
Meaning: O Allah, You are Pardoner and you love to pardon, so pardon me.
[Narrated by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i, and authenticated by Al-Albani].
So I advise you O servants of Allah - and myself, to fear Allah Almighty. For fear of Allah is the best provision for the Day of Resurrection.
And Allah concealing the Night of qadr in the last ten nights is a test and trial for the people of eemaan, so that he who is keen on obedience can seek them out, and whoever takes advantage of times of goodness and blessings emerges successful. Unlike a lazy person who has been overcome by desires and who puts his worldly life ahead of his hereafter.
Therefore the believer must take advantage of all of these nights in standing, obedience, remembrance, and all types of worship that brings him closer to Allah.

Shaykh Abdul Azeez ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him said):
"The most correct view is that it moves through all the last ten nights, but it is most likely to be on the odd-numbered nights, and the night preceding the twenty-seventh day is the most likely among the odd-numbered nights."
And he said (may Allah have mercy on him):
“Whoever strives in worship during the all of the last ten nights, offering salah, reciting Qur’an, saying du’a, and participating in other types of charitable acts, will undoubtedly catch up with laylatul-qadr and attain what Allah (exalted be He) has promised to those who do that out of faith and seeking reward."
And Sheikh al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said (may Allah have mercy on him) said,
So if the matter is like this, then the believer should seek it in all the last ten nights.
So strive, May Allah have mercy on you and guide you to goodness, and hasten to this virtue and goodness, for you do not know, perhaps you will not reach another Ramadan.
