*A Prophet With Only*
*One Follower*
*والنبي ومعه الرجل*

From Anas bin Malik who said: that the Messenger of Allaah said:
ما صُدِّقَ نبيٌّ ما صدِّقتُ ، وإنَّ منَ الأنبياءِ نبيُّ لم يصدِّقُه من أمَّتِه ، إلَّا رجلٌ واحِدٌ
'No Prophet from the Prophets was believed in truly, the like I was believed in.
Indeed there was a Prophet from the Prophets whom no one from his Ummah believed in him except for one person'
[Collected by Ibn Hibban & Al-Albaani said this Isnad is Saheeh]
Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddeen Al-Albaani said:
Muslim also collected it with extra wording in the beginning:
" أنا أول شفيع في الجنة، لم يصدق نبي من الأنبياء.... ".
'I am the first to intercede in Paradise,
and there was a Prophet who no one believed in
from among the Prophets. . . .'
A supporting narration for this Hadeeth is what is narrated by Ibn Abbas RadhiAllaahu anhu
عرضت علي الأمم، فرأيت النبي ومعه الرهط، والنبي ومعه الرجل والرجلان والنبي ليس معه أحد.... " الحديث
'The nations were presented to me, and I saw a Prophet with a number of followers, and another Prophet with a man and two men, and a Prophet and no one with him ....'
[Collected by Bukhari and Muslim]
In this hadeeth there is a clear evidence that having lots of followers or a few is not a scale to know, whether a caller to Islaam, is upon truth or falsehood.
Even though the Dawa of these Prophets -alayhim as-Salaat wa sallam- was one, and their Deen was one, indeed they differed in relation to the amount of followers whether they were many or few, so much so there was among the Prophets whom only one man believed in, in fact there was a Prophet who had no one with him!
In this is a profound lesson for the caller and the people being called in our time.
It is upon the caller to remember this reality and continue pursuing in the path of Dawa to Allaah Ta'ala and not to have concern with the few who respond to him, because there is nothing upon the caller except to clearly convey.
He has a good example in the previous Prophets who had no one with them except a person or two!
Those being called should not feel lonely and alienated
from the few who respond to the caller, and should not take that as a reason for doubting the truthful Dawa
and leaving off having Eemaan in this Dawa, let alone taking this point as an evidence for the invalidity of his Dawa, with the proof that no one followed him, or that only a very few followed him!
And if his Dawa was truthful then the majority of people would follow him!
However, Allaah Azza wa Jal said:
وَمَا أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
《 And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly. 》
[Yusuf:103]

نبي من لم يصدقه إلا رجل واحد
عن أنس ابن مالك قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
" ما صدق نبي (من الأنبياء) ما صدقت، إن من الأنبياء من لم يصدقه من أمته إلا رجل واحد ".
أخرجه ابن حبان في " صحيحه " (2305 موارد) قال: أخبرنا أبو خليفة حدثنا علي بن المديني حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن المختار بن فلفل عن أنس ابن مالك قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فذكره.
قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح، وقد أخرجه مسلم في " صحيحه " (1 / 130) حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا حسين بن علي به وزاد في أوله:
" أنا أول شفيع في الجنة، لم يصدق نبي من الأنبياء.... ".
ومن طريق مسلم أخرجه أبو بكر محمد بن الحسن الطبري في " الأمالي " (7 / 1) ثم رواه (4 / 1) من طريق أخرى عن المختار به.
ويشهد للحديث ما روى ابن عباس رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
(عرضت علي الأمم، فرأيت النبي ومعه الرهط، والنبي ومعه الرجل والرجلان
والنبي ليس معه أحد.... " الحديث.
أخرجه الشيخان وغيرهما.
وفي الحديث دليل واضح على أن كثرة الأتباع وقلتهم، ليست معيارا لمعرفة كون الداعية على حق أو باطل، فهؤلاء الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام مع كون دعوتهم واحدة، ودينهم واحدا، فقد اختلفوا من حيث عدد أتباعهم قلة وكثرة، حتى كان فيهم من لم يصدقه إلا رجل واحد، بل ومن ليس معه أحد!

ففي ذلك عبرة بالغة للداعية والمدعوين في هذا العصر، فالداعية عليه أن يتذكر هذه الحقيقة،
ويمضي قدما في سبيل الدعوة إلى الله تعالى، ولا يبالي بقلة المستجيبين له، لأنه ليس عليه إلا البلاغ المبين، وله أسوة حسنة بالأنبياء السابقين
الذين لم يكن مع أحدهم إلا الرجل والرجلان!
والمدعو عليه أن لا يستوحش من قلة المستجيبين للداعية، ويتخذ ذلك سببا للشك في الدعوة الحق وترك الإيمان بها، فضلا عن أن يتخذ ذلك دليلا على بطلان دعوته بحجة أنه لم يتبعه أحد، أو إنما اتبعه الأقلون! ولو كانت دعوته صادقة لاتبعه جماهير الناس! والله عز وجل يقول (وما أكثر الناس ولو حرصت بمؤمنين)

ما صدق نبي (من الانبياء) ما صدقت، إن من الانبياء من لم يصدقه من امته إلا رجل واحد
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
ما صدق نبي (من الانبياء) ما صدقت، إن من الانبياء من لم يصدقه من امته إلا رجل واحد
”انبیاء میں سے جس قدر (بھاری تعداد میں) لوگوں نے میری تصدیق کی، اتنی کسی کی نہیں کی گئی اور بعض انبیاء تو ایسے بھی گزرے ہیں کہ ان کی امتوں میں سے صرف ایک ایک فرد نے ان کی تصدیق کی تھی۔“
