How to Deflect Off an Evil Punishment

كيف تندفع عقوبة السيئة

Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah Rahimahullaah said:

'When a believer does an evil action then its punishment can be deflected from him by ten ways:

1 - A person repents, so Allaah accepts his repentance. A person who repents from a sin is like the one who has no sin upon him.

2 - or he seeks forgiveness and Allaah forgives him.

3 - or performs good deeds which wipe out the sin. Indeed good deeds wipe away bad deeds.

4 - or his brothers from the believers make Dua and seek forgiveness for him whether alive or dead.

5 - or gifting him from the reward of their actions by which Allaah benefits him.

6 - or that his Prophet  ﷺ intercedes for him.

7 - or that Allaah Ta'ala trials him in the worldly life with difficulties which expiate his sins. 

8 - or trials him in the Barzakh (life in the grave), so it expiates the sin for him.

9 - or trials him on the plains of the day of Judgement with situations which occur there by expiating the sin for him.

10 - or that the Most Merciful of the merciful has mercy upon him. 

Therefore, if a person is not from these ten then he should only blame himself.'

كيف تندفع عقوبة السيئة؟

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله:

والمؤمن إذا فعل سيئة فإن عقوبتها تندفع عنه بعشرة أسباب:

1- أن يتوب فيتوب الله عليه فإن التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له.
2- أو يستغفر فيغفر له.
3- أو يعمل حسنات تمحوها فإن الحسنات يذهبن السيئات.
4- أو يدعو له إخوانه المؤمنون ويستغفرون له حيا وميتا.
5- أو يهدون له من ثواب أعمالهم ما ينفعه الله به.
6- أو يشفع فيه نبيه محمد ﷺ .
7- أو يبتليه الله تعالى في الدنيا بمصائب تكفر عنه.
8- أو يبتليه في البرزخ فيكفر بها عنه.
9- أو يبتليه في عرصات القيامة من أهوالها بما يكفر عنه.
10- أو يرحمه أرحم الراحمين.

فمن أخطأته هذه العشرة فلا يلومن إلا نفسه.

گناہوں کی سزا کیسے زائل ہوتی ہے؟

شیخ الاسلام ابن تیمیہ رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں:
اور جب ایک ایمان والا کوئی گناہ کرتا ہے تو اسکی سزا اس سے دس أسباب کے ذریعے زائل ہوتی ہے:
۱۔ کہ وہ توبہ کرے اور اللہ اسکی توبہ قبول فرمائے، کیونکہ گناہوں سے توبہ کرنے والا اس شخص کی طرح ہے جس نے کوئی گناہ کیا ہی نہ ہو۔
۲۔ یا وہ (اللہ سے) مغفرت طلب کرے اور اللہ اسکی مغفرت کرے۔
۳۔ یا وہ ایسے نیک اعمال کرے جو ان (گناہوں) کو مٹا دے کیونکہ نیکیاں گناہوں کو دور کر دیتی ہیں۔
۴۔ یا اسکے مؤمن بھائی اسکی زندگی میں، اور مرنے کے بعد اسکے لئے دعا اور مغفرت طلب کریں۔
۵۔ یا اسکو اپنے اعمال کے ثواب میں سے کچھ ہدیہ کریں جسکے ذریعے سے اللہ اسکو
نفع پہنچائے۔
۶۔ یا اللہ کے نبی ﷺ اسکے  حق میں سفارش کرے۔
۷۔ یا دنیا میں اللہ تعالٰی اسکو ایسی مصیبتوں میں مبتلا کرے جن سے اسکے گناہوں کی تلافی ہو۔
۸۔ یا برزخ میں اللہ تعالٰی اسکو ایسے آزمائے کہ اسکے گناہوں کی تلافی ہو۔
۹۔ یا عرصات قیامت میں (اللہ تعالٰی) اسکو اسکی(عرصات قیامت کی) ہولناکیوں سے آزمائے، جس سے اسکے گناہوں کی تلافی ہو۔
۱۰۔ یا رحم کرنے والوں میں سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والا اس پر رحم کرے۔
پس جس سے یہ دس أسباب چوک جائے اسے چاہیے کہ وہ صرف اور صرف اپنی ملامت کرے۔

إنما يعبد بما شرع

Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah said :

Indeed Allaah Subhanahu is worshipped with what is legislated in the Deen, and He is not worshipped with what is legislated into the Deen without His permission, since indeed that is Shirk.

Allaah Ta'ala said
{ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شُرَكَـٰۤؤُا۟ شَرَعُوا۟ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّینِ مَا لَمۡ یَأۡذَنۢ بِهِ ٱللَّهُۚ  }

《Or have they partners with Allaah (false gods), who have instituted for them a religion which Allaah has not allowed.》
[Surah Ash-Shūrā: 21]

Allaah Ta'ala said
{ ۞ شَرَعَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّینِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِۦ نُوحࣰا وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَ وَمَا وَصَّیۡنَا بِهِۦۤ إِبۡرَ ٰ⁠هِیمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِیسَىٰۤۖ أَنۡ أَقِیمُوا۟ ٱلدِّینَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا۟ فِیهِۚ كَبُرَ عَلَى ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ مَا تَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَیۡهِۚ  }

《He (Allaah) has ordained for you the same religion (Islam) which He ordained for Nuh, and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad), and that which We ordained for Ibrahim, Musa and 'Iesa saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion). Intolerable for the Mushrikun, is that to which you call them. 》[Surah Ash-Shūrā: 13]

The Deen which Allaah legislated is either obligatory or recommended

Therefore, everyone who practised a worship which was not obligatory in the Sharia of the Messenger nor was it recommended, then that would be from Shirk and Bida.'

يعبد الله بما شرع من الدين

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية

وهو سبحانه إنما يعبد بما شرع من الدين لا يعبد بما شرع من الدين بغير إذنه فإن ذلك شرك

قال الله تعالى { أم لهم شركاء شرعوا لهم من الدين ما لم يأذن به الله }

وقال تعالى { شرع لكم من الدين ما وصى به نوحا والذي أوحينا إليك وما وصينا به إبراهيم وموسى وعيسى أن أقيموا الدين ولا تتفرقوا فيه كبر على المشركين ما تدعوهم إليه }

والدين الذي شرعه إما واجب وإما مستحب

فكل من عبد عبادة ليست واجبة في شرع الرسول ولا مستحبة كانت من الشرك والبدع"

صرف اور صرف شریعت کے مطابق عبادت کرنا

شیخ الاسلام ابن تیمیہ رحمہ اللہ 'الرد على الأخنائي' کے صفحہ نمبر ۲۱۹ میں فرماتے ہیں:
٭اور اللہ سبحانه وتعالى کی عبادت صرف اور صرف  دین میں مشرع شدہ اعمال سے کی جاتی ہے، اور اُس کی عبادت اُسکی اجازت کے بغیر دين میں مشرع کردہ اعمال سے نہیں کی جاتی، کیونکہ ایسا کرنا شرک ہے۔
اللہ تعالٰی فرماتے ہیں: "أم لهم شركاء شرعوا لهم من الدين ما لم يأذن به الله" ﴿کیا ان لوگوں نے ایسے (اللہ کے) شریک (مقرر کر رکھے) ہیں جنہوں نے ایسے احکام دین مقرر کر دیئے ہیں جو اللہ کے فرمائے ہوئے نہیں ہیں﴾
اور مزید اللہ تعالٰی فرماتا ہے: "شرع لكم من الدين ما وصى به نوحا والذي أوحينا إليك وما وصينا به إبراهيم وموسى وعيسى أن أقيموا الدين ولا تتفرقوا فيه كبر على المشركين ما تدعوهم إليه" ﴿اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہارے لیے وہی دین مقرر کردیا ہے جس کے قائم کرنے کا اس نے نوح (علیہ السلام) کو حکم دیا تھا اور جو (بذریعہ وحی) ہم نے تیری طرف بھیج دی ہے، اور جس کا تاکیدی حکم ہم نے ابراہیم اور موسیٰ اور عیسیٰ (علیہم السلام) کو دیا تھا، کہ اس دین کو قائم رکھنا اور اس میں پھوٹ نہ ڈالنا جس چیز کی طرف آپ انہیں بلا رہے ہیں وه تو (ان) مشرکین پر گراں گزرتی ہے﴾
اور جو دین اللہ نے مشروع کیا ہے وہ یا تو واجب ہے یا مستحب۔ پس جس کسی نے بھی ایسی کوئی عبادت کی جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کی شریعت میں نہ ہی واجب ہے اور نہ ہی مستحب، تو وہ شرک و بدعت ہے۔٭

The Blessings of Taking the Suhoor Meal are Numerous

Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajar said:
‘The blessings of taking the  Suhoor meal are  numerous and from them are the following:

1. Following the Sunnah

2. Differing from the people of the book

3. For strength for carrying out worship due to increased energy

4. Repelling the evil manners which are caused from the effects of  hunger

5. The suhoor could become charity due to giving to those who ask, or gathering to eat with them

6. A reason for the remembrance of Allaah & supplication at a time that supplications are answered

7. To acknowledge the intention to fast for those who were heedless of making their intention before they slept’

البركة في السحور تحصل بجهات متعددة وهي:

The Most Generous of the People

أجْوَدَ النّاسِ

From Ibn Abbas -RadhiAllaahu anhumma- who said:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ بِالْخَيْرِ وَكَانَ أَجْوَدَ مَا يَكُونُ فِي رَمَضَان وَكَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَلْقَاهُ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ فِي رَمَضَانَ يَعْرِضُ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْقُرْآنَ فَإِذَا لَقِيَهُ جِبْرِيلُ كَانَ أَجْوَدُ بِالْخَيْرِ مِنَ الرّيح الْمُرْسلَة

‘The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ was the most generous of the people in goodness, and he would especially be the most generous when it came to Ramadan.  Jibreel would meet him every night in Ramadan and the Prophet ﷺ would read to him the Qur’aan and when the Prophet used to meet Jibreel, he would be more generous in goodness than a strong wind blowing.’

Ibn al-Qayyim said

'The highest level of Jood (goodness, generosity) is with knowledge and sacrificing for it.

Jood (goodness, generosity) with knowledge is better than  Jood (goodness, generosity) with wealth, because knowledge is more noble than wealth.'

أجْوَدَ النّاسِ

عن عبدالله بن عباس :

كانَ رَسولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أجْوَدَ النّاسِ، وكانَ أجْوَدُ ما يَكونُ في رَمَضانَ حِينَ يَلْقاهُ جِبْرِيلُ، وكانَ يَلْقاهُ في كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِن رَمَضانَ فيُدارِسُهُ القُرْآنَ، فَلَرَسولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أجْوَدُ بالخَيْرِ مِنَ الرِّيحِ المُرْسَلَةِ
• صحيح البخاري والمسلم


قال ابن القيم :
( *الجود بالعلم* وبذله وهو من أعلى مراتب الجود والجود به أفضل من الجود بالمال لأن العلم أشرف من المال).

*سب سے زیادہ سخی انسان*

ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے  روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ سب لوگوں سے زیادہ جواد (سخی) تھے اور آپ ﷺ (دوسرے اوقات کے مقابلہ میں) سب سے زیادہ جود و کرم رمضان میں فرماتے جب جبرائیل علیہ السلام آپ ﷺ سے ملتے۔ جبرائیل علیہ السلام رمضان کی ہر رات میں آپ ﷺ سے ملاقات کرتے اور آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ قرآن کا دورہ کرتے، غرض اللہ کے رسول  ﷺ لوگوں کو بھلائی پہنچانے میں بارش لانے والی ہوا سے بھی زیادہ جود و کرم فرمایا کرتے تھے۔
صحيح البخاري والمسلم
ابن قیم رحمۃ اللہ علیہ فرماتے ہیں:
علم سے سخاوت کرنا اور اسے  دوسروں تک پہنچانا سخاوت کی اعلیٰ ترین درجوں میں سے ایک ہے، اور علم سے سخاوت کرنا مال سے سخاوت کرنے سے بہتر ہے کیونکہ علم مال سے زیادہ اعلی اور اشرف ہے۔

📜 The Good Treatment of the Mother and Father in Light of the Quran and Sunnah.

‎There is no doubt that good treatment of parents is from the most important and greatest of obligations of Islam. Allah mentions this tremendous matter in numerous places in his Book:

‎وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا ۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا – 17:23

‎“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.”

‎وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا – 17:24

‎“And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.”
