Please may I know what's the correct way about this?
Sometimes my husband is not able to go to the masjid, unintentionally.
In that case he does jamaa'ah with the boys only, at home. And says jamaa'ah is not with the girls and that we are ordered to pray in congregation with the men (only) at home when we haven't been able to pray the faraa'id at the masjid. Is this correct?

I have only read that congregation is with the men and women of the house. We have older girls and boys in our house. He will call the boys, but not the girls and will tell me not to call them.

Abu Khadeejah:
He should gather all the family and pray. Males and females. That is the Sunnah when one prays at home and is not able to reach a mosque or there is no mosque nearby.
