Imām Ajurrī (summary):

They will look for your faults
Your family will be angry
Your brothers will be annoyed
They won’t want to deal with you
The people of innovation will oppose you

Islam will return strange just as it started. [Paradise for the strangers.]

Beautiful to see Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr aiding his father The senior scholar Shaykh Abdul Muhsin حفظهم الله with getting to and from the masjid by pushing him in his wheelchair. Beautiful example of aiding ones parents when they’ve reached old age.

Narrated Abdullah bin Mas’ud who said “I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ”: Which actions are most beloved to Allah? He ﷺ said: “Prayer at its specified times.” I said then what? He ﷺ said: “Being dutiful to ones parents.” I said then what? He ﷺ said Jihad in Allah’s cause

Some of You Drive Others Away

Bakr ibn ‘Abdillah, the Tabi’i, said:

“In truth, Abu Bakr wasn't the best of the people because he prayed or fasted more than them. Rather, he was the best of them simply due to something he had in his heart (i.e. a higher level of iman).”

AbuBakr Al-Khubaaziy [rahimahullaah] said, “I had a very dangerous illness, so a neighbour of mine saw me and said, ‘Act upon the statement of Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam], ‘Treat your sick by giving Sadaqah’. It was summertime, so I bought many watermelons and gathered a group of poor people and children. They ate and then supplicated for me to be cured. By Allaah! I did not reach the next morning except that Allaah granted me wellbeing’”. [Siyar A’laam An-Nubulaa 18/44]

Is it allowed to pay a bribe to an oppressor to ward off his oppression?

Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimīn said: It is allowed to save himself from oppression with wealth, and the dhālim is sinful—as for the oppressed, then he is not guilty.
