The reality of lying is to give news of something in opposition to the true state of affairs. The scholars explain this narration to refer to a person who says this to them self when they see the people abandoning the Quran and Sunnah and following innovation and the Devil.

Instead of being patient sticking to the Quran and Sunnah, they innovate what they perceive to be popular or promote sins that are prevalent among the majority, like in our time music and its culture.

A true leader stands for what is correct and true, and not what is popular yet false, as we seen from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who always stood up for what was right, even if he opposed the majority

Rectify My Hearing & Sight


From Jabir [رضي الله عنه] who said that the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] used to say:

«اللهُمَّ أَصلِح لِي سَمعِي وبَصرِي واجعَلهُما الوَارِثَيْنِ مِني، وانصُرنِي عَلى مَن ظَلمَنِي، وأَرنِي مِنه ثَأري»
 
❝O Allaah rectify for me my hearing, my sight and make them both healthy and strong until old age. Make me victorious over the one who oppressed me and show me his destruction and do not make me an oppressor.❞
