Imam Malik bin Anas (d. 179 A.H.) -Rahimahullaah- said:

‘Indeed there were people who desired worship, but neglected knowledge so they rebelled against the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ with their swords, and if they had desired knowledge then it would have prevented them from rebelling.’

• - قال ابن القاسم - رحمه الله - :
• - سمعتُ مالكا - رحمه الله يقول :

• - إن أقواماً ابتغوا العبادةَ ، وأضاعوا العلمَ ، فخرجوا على أمة محمدٍ ﷺ بأسيافهم .
• - ولو ابتغوا العلمَ لَحَجزهم عن ذلك .
