“O brothers, let us not allow the actions of some of our brothers to tarnish this pure and pristine methodology, this blessed and Sunnah-based Salafi dawah, which is free from hatred, grudges, and turmoil.
This is the call of the Prophet ﷺ. Preserve it, protect it, and fear Allah, the Most High, in regards to it. Do not distort it or cause people to detest it and its adherents.
Fear Allah, O people of goodness, in this dawah. Let us not become instruments of destruction that undermine this dawah! Respect this dawah and fulfill its rights.
Fear Allah in regards to its scholars, its learned ones, and its students of knowledge.
What is this rivalry and discord, as if, to many people now, being Salafi means rivalry, discord, and mutual abuse?
This is how it has become for many of the common people and the ignorant ones, distorting this pure and merciful dawah in the minds of many. And who is to blame? Some foolish individuals and some insignificant people who claim to be part of it, isn't that correct?
Glory be to Allah, the Most High. You hear astonishing things and read astonishing things. Is this part of the religion of Allah? I swear by the Lord of the heavens, by Allah, and by Allah, this severe oath requires no expiation.
This is not from the Shariah of Allah, nor from the guidance of the Messenger of Allah, nor from the Salafi dawah in any way. Even if you disguise it in a thousand cloaks, it cannot be from the religion of Allah.
Fear Allah in regards to yourselves, O brothers. Fear Allah in this dawah and respect it.
Where is the gentleness? Where is the kindness? Where is the mercy? Where is the compassion? Where is the spreading of love and affection among brothers towards one another? Where is the demonstration of the purity and clarity of this dawah? Where is the demonstration of its purity and clarity to the people?
Does clarity and purity mean destroying others to make it clear?
Does purity and clarity mean killing my brother who shares my creed and methodology and criticizing him morning and evening to claim that I am clear and pure?
Who said this? Who said this? Only an infiltrator foreign to the dawah, not from it, would say this, someone who does not know it and has never smelled its fragrance.
Once upon a time, this blessed dawah spread across the land, east and west, by the grace of Allah first, then through the adherence of the students of knowledge and the callers who carried this dawah east and west, north and south.”

No doubt from the greatest of the causes for splitting is that the youth do not take from the advices of the Scholars, so when the Scholars advise they do not take those advices. So from the very start they might not return to the Scholars about their differing and so the differing and evil increases, and if they do return to the Scholars, and the Scholars judge and advise, they do not take those advices. So how will we distance ourselves from evil and splitting whilst we place the advices of the Scholars behind our backs? And we do not consider them as a reference point for us to return to? Did Allāh not say in the Qur’ān:
“…𝘀𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 [𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 – 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁 (𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗵), 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗲𝗹 (𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹)] 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄.” (Al-Anbiyā:7)
Therefore there is no doubt that a lack of returning to the Scholars is from the greatest of causes of differing and likewise not taking their advice - because these ones who differed or are differing, usually this splitting between those upon the truth is due to ignorance, due to some of them wanting to be in charge, how can you take charge and you are ignorant, it is not the right of an ignorant one to be involved let alone take charge, and due to this when the Prophet ﷺ informed us of what will occur at the end of time - and it is from the signs of the Hour - he informed us about people and how they would take ignorant ones as their leaders, and they are asked and they give verdicts without knowledge, so they are misguided and misguide others. That only occurs when the likes of these appear, and they are not from the people of knowledge or those who can infer rulings in the religion and they want to take authority, and lead the Da’wah, and set guidelines and clarify “do this”, “don’t do that”.
Also add to that from the causes of splitting is transgression, meaning transgression beyond the bounds, this one transgresses in his speech, and that one transgresses in his writings, and the other one transgresses in his actions, and another transgresses in his rulings - and so splitting occurs. Splitting does not occur from well-grounded students, nor from the Scholars, that’s the origin, but if a person is tried then he may be put to trial except if Allāh the Mighty & Majestic wills and returns him to the truth.
Therefore transgression and going beyond the bounds is from the greatest causes of splitting. So be grounded, calling to unity, and harmony, and leave the differing that is worldly or affairs that do not reach the level of warranting differing or splitting, place all that under your foot.
That is why when the prophet ﷺ heard the man saying “O Muhājirīn (ie come to my aid)” and another saying “O Ansār (ie come to my aid)” the prophet ﷺ became angry and said “stop this, what is this call of the people of jahiliyyah? What is this call of the people of jahiliyyah?” And then he said “it is repugnant” or “a repulsive call” or as he said ﷺ.
And so, have we understood the statement of the prophet ﷺ that “𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳.”?
Have we understand the statement of Allāh [Subhānu wa Ta’ālā’] “𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱“ [al-Hujurāt 10], and that “𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮̄𝗵”?
And so from that which occurs is ta’assub [blind partisanship] to personalities and something of ghuloo [going overboard and extremism] and we’ll add to that what we’ve mentioned earlier of taqlīd [blind following] and jahli [ignorance].
These are all from the causes of differing and splitting.
