We asked the staff at the orphanage, what was most urgently needed. They stated the need for mattresses was the greatest, as many children slept on the floor with only a pillow for those fortunate enough to get one. Others, both girls & boys slept 2 to a bed

Alhamdulilah we purchased 90 mattresses to be divided between the 2 orphanages & we are making arrangements to purchase much needed bedding (sheets/pillows etc).

Meeting the children at the orphanage this weekend was truly a humbling & emotional experience. Though their living situation is very difficult, the happiness & satisfaction for the little that they have was clearly evident from them all.

When we asked the children if we could do something personally for them what would you want, the majority of girls said clothes (hijab/jilbāb) that they could pray in. The other main request was for sandals as many of them were barefooted Allāhul Mustahan.

The non Muslims from the village of Kiseli in Uganda were invited to the opening of Masjid Umar Ibn Al-Khattab today. They were addressed in English & their own language, then invited to Islām. Alhamdulilah, 23 accepted the da’wah & entered into Islām.
