Sacrificing the Udhiyah Every Year | Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Baz رحمه الله

Question: They ask O noble Shaykh: Is the Udhiyah performed every year or once in a lifetime?

Answer: The Sunnah is to perform it every year. The Udhiyah is every year. The Prophet عليه الصلاة والسلام would sacrifice one sheep every year for himself and on behalf of his household. And he would sacrifice a second sheep on behalf of the Ummah of Muhammad; meaning two sheep. Thus he would sacrifice two rams, one was for himself and his household while the second was for the people of Tawheed from the Ummah of Muhammad عليه الصلاة والسلام.

❓🇬🇧🔪🐑 | 🤲🕋 | How to offer a Sacrifice/Qurbani/Udhiya in the UK.

In the UK, you normally will require the assistance of the slaughterhouse to do it on your behalf.

🛒🏬 To do this, you should visit your local halal butcher and inform them that you would like to purchase a 'qurbani' animal.

💷 (A lamb this year should be between £225-£290.)

💳 You will be required to leave a deposit and you will pay the rest when you collect.

🗓 Collection should be no later than the following day after ‘Eid [insha Allah]

✅ This is how to arrange a Sacrifice/Qurbani/Udhiya in the UK. [Insha Allah]

🫶🤝🫳 Now enjoy, give some as gifts and where possible feed the needy.

🕌 This is a great act of worship which should not be neglected by anyone who has the means.
