(The Virtue of Fasting During the Month of Al-Muharram)

There is a special and great reward for fasting during this month. The Prophet (ﷺ) told us in a hadeeth which was collected by Muslim ibn Hajjaj (may Allah have mercy upon him) in his Saheeh that Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

"The most virtuous fasting after the month of Ramadan is the month of Allah, Al-Muharram.

And the most virtuous prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer."
