My definition of biodigital convergence is when human, animal, and plant biology meet digital technology. Complete Cyborg society.
It involves many different sciences, including a new digital economy with a social credit system involving SMART contracts, synthetic biology, biosensors, virtual reality, SMART Cities, SMART farming, blockchain, brain machine interfaces, photonics, CRISPR, Bugbots:Harnessing Insects, machine learning, geo-engineering , advanced materials such as 3D printed magnetic microfluids, nanotechnology, plant nanobionics, LED lights, LIFI, digital twin technology, reverse engineering, WEB3, Internet of Bio-Nano Things, Nano-Bio-Info-Cogno, quantum technology, WBAN, organ on a chip,brain on a chip, and much more. I've been researching this subject for 3 years and hold a biweekly community discussion regarding the topic. I've also been interviewed regarding the subject many times. DARPA's "Ocean of Things"

Speaking of DARPA: According to Forbes, they were "awarded a contract for the next phase of development of its Ocean of Things (OoT), a project to seed the seas with thousands of floating sensors, monitoring everything that passes from aircraft to submarines." In their own words, "DARPA's Oceans of Things program seeks to enable persistent maritime situational awareness over large ocean areas by deploying thousands of small, low-cost floats that form a distributed sensor network.

Each smart float contains a suite of commercially available sensors to collect environmental data-such as sea surface temperature, sea state, and location — as well as activity data about commercial vessels, aircraft, and even maritime mammals moving through the area. The floats transmit data periodically via satellite to a cloud network for storage and real-time analysis

Although many are the assaults on the oceans, and on the Earth, the single most urgent assault, which is destroying the planet the quickest, is wireless technology. It is the most destructive itself, and it speeds up and coordinates all the other assaults. And driving all of wireless technology, including wireless technology on land, in space, and in the oceans, is the cell phone. The Role of the World Economic Forum

Understanding Bio-Digital Convergence

Bio-digital convergence is essentially the merging of biology and digital technology with the aim of creating new technologies and applications that incorporate biological processes. It is made possible by advances in fields such as synthetic biology, biotechnology and digital technology, which are allowing researchers to manipulate and control biological systems in increasingly sophisticated ways.

What is biodigital convergence?
Biodigital convergence is the interactive combination, sometimes to the point of merging, of digital and biological technologies and systems. Policy Horizons is examining three ways in which this convergence is happening.

1 Full physical integration of biological and digital entities
Digital technology can be embedded in organisms, and biological components can exist as parts of digital technologies. The physical meshing, manipulating, and merging of the biological and digital are creating new hybrid forms of life and technology, each functioning in the tangible world, often with heightened capabilities.

Robots with biological brains and biological bodies with digital brains already exist, as do human-computer and brain-machine interfaces. The medical use of digital devices in humans, as well as digitally manipulated insects such as drone dragonflies and surveillance locusts, are examples of digital technology being combined with biological entities. By tapping into the nervous system and manipulating neurons, tech can be added to an organism to alter its function and purpose. New human bodies and new senses of identity could arise as the convergence continues.

Concerning Safe and Balanced Uses of Wireless Technology
Supplementing the 1959 U.N. Declaration on the Rights of the Child

Addressed to: the Secretary General of the U.N., Member States of the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, UNICEF, UNESCO, the European Council, WHO, and other international and national agencies concerned with the protection, safety, and wellbeing of children.

Recognizing:

The protection of children is a value and a transcendent goal of greater importance than corporate profits; that our planetary survival may well depend upon our safeguarding children exposed to the onslaught of man-made non-ionizing radiation (NIR), generally known as wireless RF/EMR.
The wireless industry’s claimed benefits of their products are being greatly exaggerated, while the risks are almost entirely ignored; a balanced reassessment of wireless technology is urgently required.

The growing number of NIR-emitting wireless devices in homes, schools, daycare centers, and workplaces, together with supporting infrastructure, is increasing children’s continuous and cumulative radiation exposure from: cell phones, laptops, tablets, computers, routers, gaming consoles, wearables, internet of things, smart meters, robots, small cell and macro towers, satellite base stations.

Man-made polarized non-ionizing radiation is a principal source of bioactivity.
There is an urgent necessity of investigating the correlation of wireless technology with increasing reports of children suffering from mental health disorders, addiction, depression, anxiety, memory loss, and increasing rates of suicide.

Captured government agencies have set maximum recommended NIR exposure limits based on decades-old assumptions (e.g. only thermal heating of cells is bioactive, and that maximum exposure levels to adults also apply to children) that do not protect children.

Independent peer-reviewed studies document the unique vulnerability of children, youth, and the unborn to continuous, aggregate, cumulative NIR.
Neither exposure levels nor their related health impacts on children are being monitored, thus leaving parents, healthcare practitioners, and governments uninformed about the current dangers to health as well as impacts on future generations.

Widespread long-term, cumulative NIR exposure increases oxidative stress, thereby aggravating existing illnesses and disabilities, and is associated with numerous health impacts including, but not limited to, memory loss, behavioral issues, cognitive impairments, learning disabilities, depression, impacts on fertility, heart disease, diabetes, DNA damage, and cancer.

Symptoms in children related to NIR exposure, such as headaches, rashes, neurological issues and cognitive impairment are being ignored, trivialized, misdiagnosed, mistreated, or outright dismissed; there is documented evidence that when NIR exposure is mitigated or removed, symptoms abate or even disappear.

Widespread misinformation, false and misleading claims of safety are being made by governments and regulatory bodies, echoed and amplified by the media and the purveyors of these wireless devices and services.
There is strong evidence that wired internet connections (and new Wi-Fi alternatives such as Li-Fi) are safer, faster, and more reliable alternatives for homes and classrooms.

Absence of Informed Consent:

Personal information on children is being mined, monetized and used for surveillance and corporate profiteering without the child’s or parents’ informed consent.

\Psycho-social effects, especially on children, from the overuse of screens, including video gaming and social media, may lead to addiction, hostility, aggression, sleep disorders, depression and anxiety.

In school environments, confidential and private personal information concerning children is being monetized by data harvesters, without the informed consent of parents in direct violation of national and international policies, laws, and regulations that protect the privacy of children.

Continuous and cumulative exposure of children to NIR creates unsafe learning environments, when national and international policies, laws, and regulations seek to ensure the safety of children in schools.

The accelerating development and ubiquitous deployment of Artificial Intelligence via wireless devices raises profound ethical questions that need to be immediately examined with regard to the risks to children.

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child guarantees non-discrimination, devotion to the best interests of the child, the right to life, survival and development, and respect for the views of the child.

Other worthy international appeals recognizing the rights of children, such as the European Union Action on the Rights of the Child, and the Reykjavik Appeal on Wireless Technology in Schools.

The urgent need to investigate, control, and embargo imports of electronic components and products containing minerals extra
cted by enforced child labor under dehumanizing conditions.

The importance of adopting the Precautionary Principle as an operative and applicable guideline for strongly encouragin safe NIR-free learning environments for children.

The importance of promoting goals such as ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) when it comes to exposing children to NIR environments.
The protection of children is a basic legal principle that will increasingly be recognized as a part of international customary law critical to our collective survival.

Now Therefore, the undersigned endorse and strongly advocate that the following principles and actions be immediately adopted by national and local governments and legislators, and by administrators in public and private schools around the world as constituting wise and best practices:

We recognize that children have a fundamental human right to be safe and free from harmful NIR exposure in their homes and school environments.
We urge the immediate adoption and implementation of international standards for safe learning environments that are free from, or involve minimal exposure to, NIR.

We call upon local governments and schools to immediately implement regular monitoring and measurement of NIR exposure of children, using best available, calibrated, certified NIR monitoring technologies; we further call upon governments to subsidize the widespread monitoring of NIR.

We strongly recommend broad public education on the unique health risks of NIR exposure of children, and the fiduciary responsibilities and legal liabilities of those failing to discharge these responsibilities.

We urgently appeal to physicians and other health care providers to inform themselves and receive professional training in the new medical discipline of clinical electromagnetics.

We support collaborative innovation among technology providers that creates incentives for them to compete on safety, particularly protective of children.
We strongly encourage innovative ways to finance this fundamental and evolutionary shift in public conscience and awareness.

"The three top childhood cancers in South Africa are leukaemia , brain and then eye. The increase in paediatric cancers is alarming and a study map has been commissioned by CANSA. Radio Vatican recently lost a long court battle in Rome having been found guilty of causing a massive increase in cancers around its radio masts. Conclusions in the study of the death rate for leukemia at all ages: the risk factor up to 12 km distance from radio Vatican is 4.9 times higher than the expected value for distances beyond 12 km. Use of mobile phones for those under 18 or pregnant women should be restricted. Wifi, Microwaves and the Consequences to our Health - Barrie Trower
Mr. Barrie Trower, a British physicist who was a microwave weapons expert and who worked for the Royal Navy and the British Secret Service, talks about the health effects of WiFi and other forms of microwave radiation. Mr. Trower came out of retirement because he was concerned that the microwave frequencies and intensities to which children are exposed in schools are similar to those used for microwave weapons.

Smart Meter Radiation
Warren Woodward: Everyone knows that wireless “smart” meters communicate via microwaves. What was unknown until now is that additional frequencies are transmitted in the 2 to 50 kilohertz range. Numerous studies have shown repeatedly that those very same frequencies disrupt the human nervous system. Indeed, “nerve block” is the phrase used in the studies to describe what occurs.
The studies are not controversial. In others words, there are no studies that show otherwise. Nerve block induced by frequencies in the 2 to 50 kilohertz range is an established fact. The studies that show this nerve block are all from reputable sources including the epitome of “establishment” science when it comes to electricity, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Unless they cease, desist, and bring down the wireless “smart” grid at once, “smart” meter manufacturers and the utilities that use them are going to be facing massive liability and personal injury lawsuits because, unlike the microwave radiation that anti-“smart” meter advocates have been calling attention to for years, there is no scientific dispute regarding the biological effects of 2 to 50 kilohertz frequencies.
Additionally, state utility regulators and public health departments will need to actually do their jobs which always used to include protecting the public and promoting public health and safety.
