Our Finance student, Rayner Loi, first realised the severity of food wastage when volunteering in his younger years.

Determined to tackle the problem, Rayner invented a smart food-waste tracker. Today, his company Lumitics, has helped hotels and airlines reduce their food waste by 40%.

​​Providing An Academic Pillar of Support For Children Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic

With the suspension of face-to-face classes during this COVID-19 period, our full-time Accountancy student, Ahmad Idris Bin Omar, was determined to continue providing academic mentoring to students via technology through his service-learning group, Learn Love Live (LLL).

The first few years of life are important periods of growth for any person. Realising this, Samantha Tan, who recently graduated from our full-time Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with Minor in Psychology programme, sought to nurture the potential in children.

Samantha co-founded Hearty Kids, which organises educational camps to help preschoolers develop social and emotional learning, to better prepare them for society.

​​Here's a shoutout to our students from the service-learning project initiative, Muscular Dystrophy Service Group (MDSG), who have been pairing up with members from the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) (MDAS), to play and compete in international Boccia competitions.

After more than two years of continuous service with MDAS, the group has been nominated in the Singapore Disability Sports Awards, under the category of Community Impact Award, where they are recognised for the contributions they have made to the development of disability sports!

For our full-time Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management student, Lee Ming Han, his aspirations to start up his own social enterprise motivated him to take on Community Engaged Work (CEW) through an internship with social enterprise, Wateroam, a start-up which aims to provide clean water access to all individuals!

From leading a water consultation project to doing water testing, check out what Ming Han had to say about his internship here!
