Today is the second Thursday of the month. And that means it is also our county chapter meeting!

Bethany Baptist Church @ 7pm. Our featured speaker will be gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley. We will also hear a few words from Congressional candidate Mike Seely.

It is so important to take advantage of every opportunity to meet the candidates for offices you will be voting. Come with questions that are important to you. You MUST show up and inform yourself!! Invite anyone who may want more information on the candidates.

Doors will open at 6:30pm to give everyone extra time to socialize and get to know the other members. Chapter shirts and gear will be available. Additionally baked goods will again be available to purchase prior for enjoying during the meeting, and after to take home!
This is a FREE event and there is no membership fee for our group. We would like to continue to bring speakers in free of charge as to not prevent anyone from attending and having access to important information. If you are able, please consider a donation at the door or a purchase of merchandise to help our Chapter to raise funds.

*Volunteers are need at each meeting to help set up, tear down, and greet members. Please let me know if you can help with this for today's meeting. *
Next months meeting information has been announced. If you are running for a Genesee County Commissioner seat and would like to speak at our next months meeting, please RSVP to the email listed below.

Michigan Patriots!

This weekend is our LAST CHANCE to get signatures for the very important Secure MI Vote petition. If the threshold is not met, we only have ourselves to blame for not putting in the effort. If you have ANY time to spare this weekend to help collect, please reach out to me. We will be setting up for one last PUSH! We will set up locations for as many teams as we can put together. I would really like to take advantage of traffic going north on Friday/Saturday and coming South on Sunday/ Monday. I have a few locations in mind including on M-15 & rest stops. Teams will be put together with at least 2 people at all times at each location. If you have someone to come along with you, please let me know. If not, no worries. We will partner you up!

Please email me ASAP with the days & times you are available this Friday-Monday (May 27-30). Do you have a tent, folding table, or long clip boards that can be borrowed for the weekend? Please let me know as well. We can give you a breakdown of the petition so that it is easy to explain what it is about.

If you will not be around any time this weekend to help with this effort, please consider grabbing a few petitions to encourage family, friends, and strangers that you meet this weekend to sign this ESSENTIAL petition. We can make a difference! If you have not received any of these petitions in the mail and need some to work on filling, please email me as well.

In case you missed the email:
Good afternoon Genesee County!
We are just 2 weeks away from the Michigan Primary. With that in mind, there are a few very important things I wanted to put out there to everyone.

*Election Inspectors & Poll Workers
The Flint clerk's office is dragging their feet in notifying people if they have or have not been chosen to be an election inspector. Many of you likely had your applications submitted to Flint. Check your mail & email address that you put on your application daily. If you have not yet heard back, call the Clerk’s office that your application was submitted and inquire about the status of your application. The Flint clerk’s office number is (810) 766-7413. We were told that the Flint required training will take place July 30. Keep this date available in case you are still chosen for this position.
There seems to be very shady practices happening. Keep record of any attempts to contact the clerk's office (date & time, who you spoke to, and what was said).

If you submitted an application to be an election inspector, please fill out this poll so we know where everyone will be or if you have even been contacted. We have heard from many that if chosen to work in Flint, they are concerned about not knowing their way around & their safety. We are planning a get together for those who will be working the polls in Genesee county, specifically in Flint, to help reassure those who will be working in this area. But we need to know who to contact. So please, take a minute to do this poll:
https://forms.gle/ey92GfCdHCfPpaFM8

ALSO, if you are working the polls in any capacity, all day, in a place that is not your home precinct, you MUST vote absentee! I recommend turning in your ballot in person at your local clerk's office. You can download and print the ballot request form online or in person. I DO NOT recommend mailing your ballot. Especially with the short time period left. Here is some more information on absentee ballots. https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Home/VoteAtHome

*Who & What is on the ballot?
Do you know what is all on your ballot? You can find out exactly that here: https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/PublicBallot/Index
Once you know what is on your ballot, do a little research so you know who and what you will be choosing before the Primary. You are running out of time if you are still undecided on anything on the ballot.

Stand Up Michigan has helped make at least one of the decisions a little easier. If you haven't (and frankly even if you have) decided who you will vote for to go up against Whitmer for Governor, watch these interviews. There is one for each of the 5 republican Michigan gubernatorial candidates. https://standupmichigan.com/governors

*Lastly!
SHARE THIS INFORMATION! Help get these resources out there for anyone who may not know how to find who is on the ballot or to find what these people are about. Encourage those you know to do a little research before heading into the voter booth.

Taking back and securing the elections starts with the primary. Please be active and do your part. Do not wait for someone else to “fix this”.

Thank you to each of you that are doing your part to ensure our rights & freedoms are not pushed aside.

Also, check your emails for information on the upcoming meeting and other upcoming events.
I have tried so many ways but I cannot get these images to attach to an email or upload to the website. So I am putting these out here. Please save and then share these graphics for your use! They can be used to explain the ballot proposals and why they should all be a NO. The graphic can be printed, cut and handed out or used as an ad in your local church bulletin, newspaper, etc.
