🚁A new milestone in locally produced drone (UAV) technology!
Phnom Penh, September 30, 2026 - The National Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (NISTI) is advancing research and development (R&D) on the design and production of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) - specifically Agri-Delivery, VTOL, and Fixed-Wing - lead by Dr. To Dara and Mr. Mork Tongly with R&D team.
This project employs 3D printing, hand-layup composite techniques (using carbon fiber and fiberglass), sheet metal fabrication (using aluminum), and CNC laser cutting to produce a UAV that is robust, lightweight, and highly efficient.
Through this work, NISTI contributes to strengthening local technological capabilities, supporting sustainable agriculture, and fostering industrial development and innovation in Cambodia.
