Shocking Demographic Change‼️

Out of 3,44,766 births recorded in 2024 in Keralam:
Muslims: 46.14%
Hindus: 39.49%
Christians: 14.06%

Out of 3,12,722 deaths in 2024:
Hindus: 59.66%
Christians: 20.15%
Muslims: 19.92%

The report shows that deaths now outnumber births among Hindus, with Kerala's natural population growth currently sustained only by the Muslims.

Other key findings:
• Crude Birth Rate (CBR) fell below 10 for the first time, dropping to 9.64 births per 1,000 people.
• Total Fertility Rate (TFR) declined to a record low of 1.19, far below the replacement level of 2.1.
• Births among women aged 20–24 have fallen by over 53% in the last decade.
• Around 1 in 5 newborns in Kerala is underweight, highlighting emerging maternal and child health challenges despite the state's strong health indicators.

Europe is often the educational benchmark, but global reading data shifts toward Asia.

India leads with nearly 11 hours weekly, followed by Thailand and China, challenging assumptions about reading culture.

Why do these regions spend more time with books than highly literate European nations?

Government Debt-to-GDP Ratio compares a country's total government debt with the value of everything its economy produces in a year (GDP). A ratio of 100% means the government's debt equals one year's economic output.

India's government debt stands at 83.36% of GDP, placing it 40th globally in the IMF's latest rankings. In simple terms, if India's entire annual GDP could theoretically be used only to repay government debt, it would take about 83% of one year's economic output to clear it. In reality, countries do not use all of their GDP to repay debt, this ratio is a measure of the size of the debt burden, not a repayment plan.
