🏛St. Petersburg State University, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the "My History" Foundation for the Support of Humanities, is organizing a Festival of Russian Education and Culture in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event will be a key occasion for anyone interested in Russia, the Russian language, education, and cultural heritage. Specialists from the SPbU Center for Language Testing will provide residents and visitors of Cape Town with all the necessary information about opportunities for higher education in Russia.

😏Well, now that the introductory lectures are over, it's time to lock in for the new semester

For the second year running, SPbU has placed in the top 3 for gold medals won in the ✨I Am a Professional✨ academic Olympiad. This past season, our students earned 31 awards, including 10 top prizes.

Now, the new season of the Olympiad is about to start.

🌐 SPbU Open Education Centres are now active in 11 countries

The University has resumed the work of its Open Education Centres for Russian language learning and cultural exchange in eleven countries spanning Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The project, supported by the Russian Ministry of Education, features 49 tailored programmes and dispatches University specialists abroad for three-month teaching immersions.

📎Highlights from the centres’ classes and workshops include:

▫️Traditional doll-making workshop in São Paulo
▫️'Knowledge Day' celebrations in Mozambique
▫️Russian tea culture event in Cape Town

In 2024 alone, these centres introduced the Russian language to 2,974 students and held over 30 outreach events.

International and Russian students in St. Petersburg are all invited to submit their work for the 20th-anniversary photo exhibition! The opening ceremony to be held on November 14, 2025, at 3.00 PM in the historic Tavrichesky Palace.

This1️⃣0️⃣–1️⃣2️⃣October, the vibrant city of São Paulo will once again welcome representatives from St. Petersburg State University. This time, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and the My History Foundation, our team will host the Festival of Russian Education and Culture!
