SPHMMC Discusses Partnership with Save a Child’s Heart
St Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) welcomed Mr. Simon Fisher, Executive Director of Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) — an organization based in Israel that provides free heart treatment for children in need around the world.
Mr. Simon met with Dr. Muluken Tesfaye, Provost of SPHMMC, to discuss working together to improve heart care for children in Ethiopia. The discussion was also attended by Dr. Lemi Belay, Mr. Jemal Shifa, and Dr. Ewenet Gebrehana with other Senior staff..
Dr. Muluken shared that Saint Paul’s is planning to start a National Cardiac Center of Excellence to provide better and more advanced heart care in the country. The upcoming center will serve both adults and children, offering comprehensive cardiac services for all.
Through this partnership, children will now receive life-saving heart treatment at SPHMMC — without the need to travel abroad, saving families from the stress and high cost of overseas medical care.
Save a Child’s Heart has rich experience in helping children with heart problems and looks forward to working closely with SPHMMC to strengthen cardiac care for Ethiopian children.
This marks the start of an important partnership dedicated to giving children a healthier future
