Strategic Collaboration for Nuclear Medicine Services in Ethiopia 🇪🇹🇷🇺

We are thrilled to host and have a highly fruitful visit with the technical expertise team from Rosatom, the large Russian state-owned holding company overseeing the country's nuclear assets and a major global player in nuclear technology. Their engagement at St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) was focused on providing essential input for our planned nuclear medicine services. The discussions also established a strong foundation for future collaboration in infrastructure and human resource development, and research.

Given that our institution and country are new to this complex field, Rosatom's technical guidance is instrumental in our efforts to successfully implement and avail these much-needed services. Their input has been invaluable as we lay the groundwork, considering the challenges of being a beginner with no previous experience.

Crucially, our project to harness the benefits of this technology is in perfect alignment with the National and Ministry of Health policies supporting the peaceful use of nuclear energy for national development and advanced healthcare.

We are excited about the prospects this partnership holds for elevating medical care in Ethiopia.
