SPHMMC to Build Three Residential Buildings for Staff and Residents

Today, H.E. Dr. Mekdes Daba, Minister of Health, laid the cornerstone for three new apartment buildings at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, joined by State Ministers H.E Dr.Derje Deguma, H.E Ms. Hiwot Abebe and H.E Ms. Seherela Abdella.

The project includes two G+16 and one G+12 buildings — for hospital staff and residents.

Dr. Mekdes emphasized that the initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting health professionals with better living conditions.

SPHMMC Provost Dr. Muluken Tesfaye assured that the project will be completed on schedule, advancing the college’s vision of becoming a center of excellence in medical education and hospital services.

The event was also attended by college Vice Provosts Dr. Lemi Belay, Mr. Jemal Shifa, and Dr. Ewenet G. Hanna.

St. Paul’s Staff Cafeteria Opens

H.E. Dr. Mekdes Daba, Minister of Health, inaugurated St. Paul’s first modern staff cafeteria today, joined by her State Ministers.

Provost Dr. Muluken Tesfaye said the well-designed, modern facility will serve the entire college community, accommodating over 250 staff at once at fair prices.
