Today is the day of the mining difficulty recalculation. Next estimated difficulty is 15% higher than current one. This is a huge jump, some of the history biggest in fact. Current $9500 price together with low fees rate will be uncomfortable for most of the miners.
The are two possible ways basically:
- pump the price above $10k to make it convenient for miners
or
- dump the price hard to make newbies turn off their machines and dominate the market
I can't really say which scenario has more chances, just want you to note that $9500 price is uncomfortable for everyone. I think that in the next two weeks we won't see this $9300 - $9700 range again.
