#Prayer to #Saint Mary #Magdalen (Feast day July 22nd)
I give you thanks, O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, for all the tears that Blessed Mary Magdalen shed at Your feet, for washing them with her hands, wiping them with her hair, and for the love with which you so entirely inflame her body and soul, filling her heart so that she never loved any other thing than Thyself. Therefore, I beg of Thee, Lord Jesus, that by her great merits you would grant me the tears of true repentance and fill me with Your divine love, so that before death all my sins may be forgiven by Thee, Jesus, Saviour of the World, King of glory, who lives and reigns with the same God, Father and Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

July 26 St. Anne
Mother to the Virgin Mary
Prayer:
O blessed Anne, rescue society, which is perishing for want of virtues like thine. The motherly kindnesses thou art ever more frequently bestowing upon us have increased the Church's confidence; deign to respond to the hopes she places in thee. Bless especially thy faithful Brittany; have pity on unhappy France, for which thou hast shown thy predilection, first, by so early confiding to it thy sacred body; later on, by choosing in it the spot whence thou wouldst manifest thyself to the world. O thou who lovest the Franks, who deignest still to look on fallen Gaul as the kingdom of Mary, continue to show it that love which is its most cherished tradition. Mayest thou become known throughout the whole world. As for us, who have long known thy power and experienced thy goodness, let us ever seek in thee, O mother, our rest, security, strength in every trial; for he who leans on thee has nothing to fear on earth, and he who rests in thy arms is safely carried.

Currently researching Christian Morality on Warfare in Scripture- if only Christians knew what the Bible has to say on violence, things would be different. For example, Counter Insurgency Operations in Scripture are summed up as: either you are with me or against me. There’s no effort put into pacifying a people who resist- they are either expelled or exterminated.

ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA
Confessor
Ignatius, courtier and knight, was wounded at the seige of Pampeluna. During his long convalescence the reading of the lives of the Saints revealed to him that the Church militant needed an army of glorious soldiers to fight the forces of Satan: Pagans, Mohammedans, Protestants, etc. He founded the Society of Jesus and as first General of this new spiritual chivalry he moved to the attack under the motto: "Ad majorem Dei gloriam-To the greater glory of God !" He died with the Holy Name of Jesus on his lips A.D. 1556.
O God, who to spread the greater glory of Thy Name, didst, by means of blessed Ignatius, strengthen the Church militant with a new army: grant that with his help, and through his example, we may so fight on earth as to become worthy to be crowned with him in heaven. Through Our Lord..

ST. LAWRENCE
Martyr
St. Lawrence was a Deacon of St. Sixtus II, Pope and Martyr. When the prefect of Rome arrested him, he distributed the possessions of the Church to the poor to save them from confiscation. He was slowly roasted to death on a gridiron in 258.
Grant unto us, we beseech Thee, O almighty God, to extinguish within us the flames of our vices, even as Thou didst give to blessed Lawrence, to overcome the fires of his torments. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

ST. TIBURTIUS, Martyr
The Roman Deacon Tiburtius, son of the prefect of Rome was beheaded in 286.
Chromatius, prefect of Rome, had condemned several Christians to death.
However, he was converted by St.Tranquillinus and baptized by Polycarp.
Tiburtius, the only son of Chromatius, was also
baptized, through the persuasion of St. Sebastian, his godfather in baptism.
Tiburtius (during the persecution of Diocletian) stayed hidden inside his father's house. But he was accused by a traitor and was brought before the prefect Fabianus and tried. He confessed his faith which he confirmed by a miracle. Protecting himself only by the sign of the cross he walked over red-hot coals barefoot without suffering any injury. The miracle was ascribed to magic and Tiburtius was beheaded at the third
mile-stone of the Via Lavicana. The spot of execution was called, "at the two laurel trees".
