No painting is greater than the artist who painted it, not is any sculpture grander than the hands that crafted it. No created thing is above that which created it and this is most true about the relationship between The Creator and creation itself.
“If any man say, I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother, whom he seeth, how can he love God, whom he seeth not?”
If a man neglects his children he cannot have the love of God in him. If a man neglects his people, ignores the dangers that face them in hopes of saving himself or avoiding suffering the love of God cannot be in him.
Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord and remember that the love and sacrifice which was made for us we owe to each other and our people.

Listening to this book about the Donner party. It has been one of the more interesting historical incidents I have read about. One of the survivors (Virginia Reed) subsequently converted to Catholicism after seeing how much strength the faith gave the Breen family during their suffering.
I went to go read the archived diary of Patrick Breen the Catholic Irish Immigrant and one entry stood out.
“All out of meat all we have our hides nearly eaten up but with Gods help Spring will soon smile upon us February 10, 1847
The patient bearing of suffering can be a tool to inspire faith in others. That is what we should hope for, not to avoid suffering but to bear it well for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.

The mystic Maria Valtorta was a bedridden mystic born in 1897 who wrote much over a few years, dictated by her guardian angel and Jesus himself. The collection of what she wrote is sometimes referred to as the poem of the Man-God. I’m just going through it know when I encountered an interesting passage where Jesus describes himself as normally having sapphire hued eyes and fair hair.
From what I’ve read this work has been promoted by many prominent Catholics, most notably Padre Pio.

“
Mary, look at your Saviour. He is not dressed in white, and
His hair is not fair. His eyes are not the sapphire hue that you
know. His garment is stained with blood, it is worn out and cov
ered with dirt and spittle. His face is tumefied and twisted, His
eyes are veiled with blood and tears, and He looks at you through
the crust formed by them and by the dust that makes His eyelids
heavy.”❤8
Every tragedy is an opportunity to show solidarity. Though Ashley is not a member of our Christian Faith she is a member of our folk. Let us be a light in the darkness her family now faces, i exhort those of you who can to help with what you can even it’s something small.
I had a dream, I was driving home to the mountains with my children. I was trying to get home to my wife, the car kept drifting as if in a heavy wind. The sky was unnaturally dark and even the lights from the car seemed dim as if they were struggling not to be overwhelmed by the encroaching darkness.
I saw lightning strike the mountains ahead of me and all at once they were ablaze. The fire did not start where the mountains were struck but instead the fire was all encompassing immediately. The fire engulfed everything. Before I could think much about it the truck began to slow down and pull to the side, I couldn’t wrestle the steering wheel away from its course and suddenly I felt as if all the air had been sucked out of the car. The light in the atmosphere was pulsating and dimming and I felt an intense fear not of death but specifically of the state my soul in that moment.
It felt futile to do anything. I felt the certainty of damnation. I was struck by the justice of it, it was not unfair it was what I had chosen by putting matters of eternal importance behind other worldly projects.
I don’t often read into my dreams but for me this is a divine confirmation of everything I’ve been feeling for some time. Henceforward it is my objective to place as the first priority the state of my soul and to sanctify my life and my families life with prayer and good works and to maintain a working relationship first and foremost with people who share the same priorities.
Revelation 21:18
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Matthew 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Adrien Arcand's commentary on Pope Pius XI condemning National Socialism in the encyclical 'Mit Brennender Sorge'
Nov. 27th, 1961
I have read, perhaps one hundred times, in his German, Latin, English and French texts, their encyclical letter, and I have never seen anything that condemns National Socialism. Certainly, there are allusions made against Alfred Rosenberg and his 90,000 Wotanists (against eighty million Germans), but not one [allusion] against Hitler. In better times, I have written to a very high authority to ask—as a Catholic and for the eternal salvation of my soul—that they instruct me on what may be [worthy of condemnation] in Mein Kampf and in the speeches of Hitler. They could not indicate anything that was [worthy of condemnation]. Hitler had lawfully banned “communism, socialism, atheistic and free-thinking clubs, Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexual clubs, and Freemasonry.” These are all things that the Church has always condemned. As the only true leader of the Western world, he had the immense honor of throwing his armed forces against the USSR. He implemented the Port de Brassard upon the Jews, copying the popes of the Middle Ages who imposed the wearing of badges upon the Jews of that time.

Rosenberg’s theories are his own theories; they are not to be confused with the core tenets of National Socialism as laid out in official NSDAP literature. I enjoy Fr. Fahey’s works but this is just a low-brow polemical blow and is arbitrary speculation based on hear-say and the writings of some obscure occult-minded types within the Reich. Some of the core issues they were dealing with were racial/political and not religious so there’s nothing wrong with strongly and passionately emphasising race in such an in-your-face way. Your typical SS soldier and German citizen did not ‘deify’ race, that’s a total myth based on post-war, third party, anti-NS propaganda. If the Reich really did ‘deify’ race and it wasn’t just a thing reduced to the theories of a couple of guys, then you wouldn’t have wide-spread Christian support.
The only real clerical opposition the National Socialists had was from liberal, subversive, and sometimes even marxist clerics who aligned themselves with either the Socialists or the centre party -rightful political enemies of the NSDAP. If these parties which the liberal clerics (Catholic and Protestant alike) supported got into power, Jewish financial enslavement and dominance over the press, the arts, literature, etc. would’ve remained a great problem confronting the German people. It would’ve gotten worse. I don’t see how anyone could genuinely say that Zentrum - who aligned themselves with atheists and Jews - would’ve been a better fit for the German people. It’s completely ridiculous. Do people seriously think they would’ve shut down every single Masonic lodge and occult organisation too when they were bankrolled by Jews?
Whenever people make these sorts of critiques it becomes evident to me that they really haven’t done a deep dive into the literature. I’m not speaking about Fahey since he lived in the 30s but just your average anti-NS guy. Because his time you really didn’t have any other way to retrieve information other than through the mainstream press. That’s not the case now.
"I have informed you of these three questions and answers in order to clearly present our stand on religion. Be assured that we would not be able to form such an ironclad corps, if we did not have conviction and faith in a God who stands over us, who has created us, our fatherland, our folk and the earth, and who has sent us our Führer. We are piously convinced that in accordance with the eternal laws of this earth we must stand by every deed, every word and every thought. Everything that our mind thinks up, our tongue speaks and our hand carries out does not stop with its execution, rather it is a cause that will have an effect, an inescapable course that will return to us and our folk as a blessing or as a curse. Believe me, people with this stance are anything but atheists."

“What benefit does the impure man derive from the gratification of vile lust? He gains the anger and contempt of God; intolerable disgust when the sin is consummated; the torment of a remorseful conscience, and unless he repent, the eternal torments of hell, for the apostle says: Do not err: neither fornicators, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate shall possess the kingdom of God, (I Cor. 6:9, 10) It is seen from the examples of the Old Law, hove much God hates and abominates the sins of impurity. Why did God regret having created man? (Gen. 6:6)
• Why did He destroy all except a very few, by a universal deluge? (Gen. 6:17)
• Why did He lay the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha in ashes by pouring upon them fire and brimstone? (Gen. 19)
• Why did He punish the two brothers Her and Onan, by a sudden death? (Gen. 37:7, 10)
• Why did He permit the whole tribe of Benjamin to be extirpated? (Judges 20)
Because of their detestable sins of impurity. And is not this vice an object of the just wrath of God? By these sins an impure man disgraces his body which should be a member of Christ, a temple of the Holy Ghost;
• he disgraces his soul the image of God, purified and purchased by the precious blood of Christ, and lowers himself beneath the animal, which, void of intellect, follows its instinct;
• he weakens the power of his body and soul, and ruins his health;
• he loses the respect of the good, scandalizes his fellowmen, voluntarily separates himself from the communion of saints, deprives himself of the sanctifying grace of God and participation in the merits of Jesus and His saints, and,
• if he continues like an animal to wallow in this vice, he finally falls into such blindness and hardness of heart that eternal truths, death, judgment, hell, and eternity no longer make any impression upon him; the most abominable crimes of impurity he considers as trifles, as human weaknesses, no sin at all.
He is therefore but seldom, if ever, converted, because the evil habit has become his second nature, which he can no longer overcome without an extraordinary grace from God. This God seldom gives, because the impure man generally despises ordinary means and graces, and therefore despairs and casts himself into the pool of eternal fire, where the worm dies not, and where with Satan and his angels the impure shall be forever tormented”
