Need your help, who are your favorite martyrs and why? I’m making a booklet for some family members. So far I have selected Thomas More, Saint Peter, Saint Philomena, and Saint Simon of Trento
The martyrdom of Saint Simon of Trento has always touched me deeply, not only because it was a horrific crime committed against an innocent child because in this regard it is not particularly special as Jews have been expelled multiple times from multiple places for these crimes alone but for two other reasons.
1. The case was tried three times. When you’re putting someone through a show trial or kangaroo court you don’t drag it out like that.
2. The entire Jewish community rose up in riots to force them to retry it. No matter how barbarous, no matter how tragic, no matter how evil, Jewish in group preference demands that they protect their own by any means necessary. It condemns not only the Jews who committed the crime but the Jews who fought to exonerate the guilty criminals then and now.
Even to this day the Jews fight to infiltrate and destroy our faith and to strip this worthy martyr of his feast day to cover their crimes. It happened in the 1940s and it is happening again now.
Pray the rosary and prepare yourselves for hard days ahead.

The Martyrdom and Crucifixion of Beatified Simon of Trent, Holy Martyr and Innocent of the Catholic Church.
(1472 A.D. - March 1475 A.D.)
Attributes & Patronage; depicted in the scene of martyrdom - youth. Patron of children, kidnap victims, torture victims.
Little Simon, also known as Simeon, was martyred and crucified by Jews on the 21st of March, 1475 A.D, in the year of Our Lord. The little boy was sitting outside in front of his parents house, since his guardians were not at home; they had gone to Church. It was about 3 hours after supper when a Jewish Man by the name of Tobias began to approach and bribe him. He spoke softly and kindly to the boy as not to scare or startle him, luring him away from his house. Tobias had picked him up and carried him at once to the house of the Jew, Samuel.
When nightfall had came, twin brothers Samuel & Saligman, with Tobias, Vitalis (Veitel), Israel, Mayr, and Moses gagged the little boy and began to brutally butcher him with knives; draining his blood.

Our Lady of Victory (1571)
Our Lady of the Holy Rosary
In thanksgiving for the victory of the Battle of Lepanto, Saint Pius V in 1571 instituted an annual feast in honor of Our Lady of Victory. Two years later, Gregory XIII changed this title to Our Lady of the Rosary.
In 1740 Clement XII extended the feast to the universal Church.
The Rosary itself was granted to Saint Dominic by Our Lady Herself in the thirteenth century, with promises of the greatest blessings for those who recite it well.
Ecclus. 24:25; 39:17
In me is all grace of the way and of the truth; in me is all hope of life and of virtue. Like a rose planted on the rivers I have borne fruit.

Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary
To commemorate in the liturgy the fifteenth centenary of the Council of Ephesus (held in 431), which vindicated the title of Theotokos or "Mother of God" for our Lady, Pope Pius XI in the year 1931 instituted this feast to be observed by the whole Church as a double of the second class.
Introit
Is. 7:14; Ps. 97:1
Behold a Virgin shall conceive, and shall bear a Son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel.
(Psalm) O sing unto the Lord a new song, for He hath done marvelous things. Glory be to the Father. Behold a Virgin.
ALLELUIA
ALLELUIA, Alleluia. O Virgin Mother of God, He Whom the whole world cannot contain, enclosed Himself in thy womb, and became man. Alleluia.

ST. RAPHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
Tob.12: 7-15
EPISTLE
Raphael makes himself known.
In those days, the Angel Raphael said to Tobias: It is good to hide the secret of a King: but honorable to reveal and confess the works of God. Prayer is good with fasting and alms, more than to lay up treasures of gold: for alms delivereth from death, and the same is that which purgeth away sins, and maketh to find mercy and life everlasting. But they that commit sin and iniquity are enemies to their own soul. I discover then the truth unto you, and I will not hide the secret from you. When thou didst pray with tears, and didst bury the dead, and didst leave thy dinner, and hide the dead by day in thy house, and bury them by night, I offered thy prayer to the Lord. And because thou wast acceptable to God, it was necessary that temptation should prove thee. And now the Lord hath sent me to heal thee, and to deliver Sara thy son's wife from the devil. For I am the Angel Raphael, one of the seven who stand before the Lord.

Another great take on why Catholics should be opposed to miscegenation:
“On the sinfulness of racemixing: As I conceded, the act in and of itself is not necessarily sinful. However, and the Church has spoken against these types of actions many times even if they haven’t been elevated to the level of sinfulness, it is in and of itself an act against reason. There are no true “sins” against reason, as sins are offenses against God and God supersedes reason itself, but these actions are to be avoided. On top of itself being an act against natural reason, the actions that lead to miscegenation can also be actually sinful. The most common would be selfishness, imprudence, lust, overindulgence, pride, etc.
Selfishness: thinking of your own love for the woman and not thinking of the problems it may cause your children. (Since you had to ask the question in the first place I’m assuming you don’t already know about the issues racemixed children face but you can research that later, specifically identity issues and mental health issues rates)
Imprudence: not stopping and thinking if this is what God truly wants, rather rushing into the situation motivated by what you want, also related to selfishness obviously
Lust: Being attracted to the woman because of her appearance, not because she would make the best mother for your future children. Obviously the more similar the parents are the more they will be able to raise the children as one unified family. Coming from separate cultures and language backgrounds can also cause issues if you need a parallel example
Pride: knowing that your family has for all previous generations stuck within its tribe, but assuming that you know better and are more enlightened because you have the internet and technology etc. as if humans have evolved that much to be inter-tribal over the last century. When Rome occupies Britain for 300 years, the Britons still stuck within their tribes and avoided marrying the Romans. There is perennial wisdom behind that...
My logic on it follows from a more right wing view of identity so you might not even agree on the fundamental principles, but if you do look at the issue from a perennialist or traditional right wing perspective, it follows that racial identity is is natural and worthy of being protected in and of itself without exterior justification.”

Apocalypse 7:9 After this I saw a great multitude which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands: [10] And they cried with a loud voice, saying: Salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb.
[11] And all the angels stood round about the throne, and the ancients, and the four living creatures; and they fell down before the throne upon their faces, and adored God, [12] Saying: Amen. Benediction, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, honour, and power, and strength to our God for ever and ever. Amen. [13] And one of the ancients answered, and said to me: These that are clothed in white robes, who are they? and whence came they? [14] And I said to him: My Lord, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who are come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Every morning I wake up and cross myself with holy water “In Nomine Patris et Fili et Spiritu Sanctu”. A brief Pater Noster in Thanksgiving for a new day and to plead for strength and guidance then I reach for my brown scapular and my gun, I carry these wherever I go, because this world is a place of conflict and struggle which we cannot endure alone and which ends only in death.
Saint Alphonsus Liguori “remember that now more than ever you must prepare yourself for conflict because your enemies; the world ,the devil ,and the flesh will arm themselves now more than ever to fight against you to deprive you of all you have aquired
