Need your help, who are your favorite martyrs and why? I’m making a booklet for some family members. So far I have selected Thomas More, Saint Peter, Saint Philomena, and Saint Simon of Trento
The martyrdom of Saint Simon of Trento has always touched me deeply, not only because it was a horrific crime committed against an innocent child because in this regard it is not particularly special as Jews have been expelled multiple times from multiple places for these crimes alone but for two other reasons.
1. The case was tried three times. When you’re putting someone through a show trial or kangaroo court you don’t drag it out like that.
2. The entire Jewish community rose up in riots to force them to retry it. No matter how barbarous, no matter how tragic, no matter how evil, Jewish in group preference demands that they protect their own by any means necessary. It condemns not only the Jews who committed the crime but the Jews who fought to exonerate the guilty criminals then and now.
Even to this day the Jews fight to infiltrate and destroy our faith and to strip this worthy martyr of his feast day to cover their crimes. It happened in the 1940s and it is happening again now.
Pray the rosary and prepare yourselves for hard days ahead.

Little Simon, also known as Simeon, was martyred and crucified by Jews on the 21st of March, 1475 A.D, in the year of Our Lord. The little boy was sitting outside in front of his parents house, since his guardians were not at home; they had gone to Church. It was about 3 hours after supper when a Jewish Man by the name of Tobias began to approach and bribe him. He spoke softly and kindly to the boy as not to scare or startle him, luring him away from his house. Tobias had picked him up and carried him at once to the house of the Jew, Samuel.
When nightfall had came, twin brothers Samuel & Saligman, with Tobias, Vitalis (Veitel), Israel, Mayr, and Moses gagged the little boy and began to brutally butcher him with knives; draining his blood.

In thanksgiving for the victory of the Battle of Lepanto, Saint Pius V in 1571 instituted an annual feast in honor of Our Lady of Victory. Two years later, Gregory XIII changed this title to Our Lady of the Rosary.
In 1740 Clement XII extended the feast to the universal Church.
The Rosary itself was granted to Saint Dominic by Our Lady Herself in the thirteenth century, with promises of the greatest blessings for those who recite it well.

In me is all grace of the way and of the truth; in me is all hope of life and of virtue. Like a rose planted on the rivers I have borne fruit.

The Basillica of Our Lady of the Pillar at Saragossa is one of the most celebrated places of pilgrimage in Spain. Whilst praying there at the feet of the Miraculous Statue, the good Father Chaminade was apprised by divine revelation that he was destined to found the Society of Mary.

But they that commit sin and iniquity are enemies to their own soul. I discover then the truth unto you, and I will not hide the secret from you. When thou didst pray with tears, and didst bury the dead, and didst leave thy dinner, and hide the dead by day in thy house, and bury them by night, I offered thy prayer to the Lord. And because thou wast acceptable to God, it was necessary that temptation should prove thee. And now the Lord hath sent me to heal thee, and to deliver Sara thy son's wife from the devil. For I am the Angel Raphael, one of the seven who stand before the Lord.
