#IdleNoMore calls for A National Week of Action on Monday October 19th to Friday, October 23rd in support of the Miโkmaq peoplesโ inherent right to fishing.
Miโkmaq land defenders are requesting that people lift their pipes and light their medicines, and are calling for groups to gather in support of Miโkmaq inherent rights. We need all allies on deck as settlers continue to escalate violent tactics to intimidate members of the Miโkmaq nation.

a statue of a prolific sexist and racist was torn down seemingly away from any demonstrations. a reminder, that if thought through, clandestine actions can bolster the cause. also that the liberation of oppressed people is intertwined.

Some notes from Hong Kong:
- lennon walls: they took space like in a subway or on a wall and created and hung tons of propaganda
- they held space in malls & airports: sang, brought signs, chanted, all in a public place
- they had constant propaganda about police brutality, black bloc isn't bad, made it a marketing campaign
- they had events for all ages; some of their strongest leaders were 70 yrs old
