One thousand percent I'm of the belief that people can be rescued from fash/racist tendencies because it happened to me. At one point in my life i was completely alienated, in a horrible state of mind as a result and was exploring fascist and fash-adjacent thought, initially through people like Jack Donovan and Lavey, and hanging out in fash spaces online. Very nearly got sucked all the way down the anti-sjw to fash pipeline. It took more education and tbh therapy to realize that my alienation, purposelessness, etc had political and systemic causes perpetrated by a very well defined class of people.

I think ultimately most people are ill-educated fence sitters and we on the left need to stop being glib, stop completely writing people off when they have problematic views, and realize that when SHTF we need as many of these people as possible to land squarely on our side. That's going to take work.
