Given the possibility that, due to the economic pressure and heavy strain Iran is under, they may decide to act against Israel, I reiterate my warning to the Iranian leadership:

Any attack on Israel, for any reason and in any place, will be met with a powerful response that will inflict serious damage on Iran, including its vital energy facilities.

Such an act would set Iran back decades.

Pakistan has said it has not discussed any military action under a security agreement with Saudi Arabia and Turkey in the wake of recent attacks by the Houthis on cities and energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Sajad Haider Khan said Pakistan would take action "when the time is right."
