The prospect of regime change in Iran is once again becoming a serious topic in Washington.
A Wall Street Journal editorial argues that the possibility of regime change in Iran is once again being seriously considered in Washington, as the prospects of reaching an agreement and coexisting with the Iranian regime appear increasingly unrealistic.
According to the editorial, Trump could have chosen the “easy way out” and portrayed his achievements as a victory, but he did not. The newspaper argues that a combination of economic pressure and a naval blockade could produce a “real victory” and possibly even create the conditions for regime change in Iran.

לרגל יום השנה המתקרב לפיגועי ה 11.9 ראש עיריית ניו יורק, ממדאני חתם על צו שיהפוך באופן רשמי בניו יורק את יום השנה לפיגועים ליום זיכרון רשמי.

את העט הטקסי עמו חתם על הצו, הוא העביר במתנה ליועץ המשפטי שלו רמזי קאסם, שהיה עורך דינו של אחמד א-דרבי מחבל של אלקאעדה שהיה קשור לפיגועי ה 11.9 (ספציפית למטוס שהתרסק על הפנטגון).

Ahead of the approaching anniversary of the September 11 attacks, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani signed an executive order officially designating September 11 as a citywide Day of Remembrance and Service.
Mamdani then presented the ceremonial pen used to sign the order to his chief counsel, Ramzi Kassem.
Kassem previously served as the defense attorney for convicted al-Qaeda operative Ahmed al-Darbi. Al-Darbi pleaded guilty to involvement in the 2002 bombing of the French oil tanker Limburg.
Al-Darbi was also the brother-in-law of Khalid al-Mihdhar—one of the September 11 hijackers aboard American Airlines Flight 77, which was crashed into the Pentagon.
