The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) responded to a video published by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from the cells of female Palestinian prisoners, threatening further retaliatory measures against them.
In a statement, the terrorist organization said that it holds the Israeli government responsible for the safety of Palestinian prisoners and called on international and humanitarian organizations to expose violations inside Israeli prisons.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad stressed that Ben-Gvir will be remembered as a symbol of violations against prisoners, and that history will judge his actions.

הפעילות החלה ביוני 2026 וכללה צילום של אתרים בישראל, כולל קניונים בהרצליה ובתל אביב, העברת מידע על כניסות, יציאות ושומרים, ריסוס גרפיטי, וניסיון לגייס קטינים נוספים למשימות מסוכנות יותר.

אחד הצעירים התחזה גם לחייל ביחידה 8200 בניסיון לקבל משימות נוספות, בעוד שהתשלומים, שהגיעו לסך מאות שקלים, שולמו חלקית באמצעות מטבעות קריפטוגרפיים.

השניים המשיכו חלק מפעילותם גם לאחר שחשדו, ובהמשך ידעו, שהמפעיל שלהם קשור לאיראן. אחד מהקטינים נעצר בשדה התעופה בן גוריון עם חזרתו לישראל.

התיק הוגש לבית המשפט לנוער במחוז חיפה, והאישומים כוללים קשר עם סוכן זר, העברת מידע לטובת האויב, סיוע בקשר עם סוכן זר, ונזק לרכוש.

המרגלים הקטינים קיבלו בעבור משימותיהם 160 דולר בלבד.

2 Jewish teenagers, aged 14 and 16, from Kiryat Motzkin, were indicted today for carrying out paid assignments for an Iranian-linked foreign agent they contacted through Telegram.

The activity began in June 2026 and included photographing sites in Israel, including malls in Herzliya and Tel Aviv, passing information on entrances, exits and security guards, spraying graffiti, and attempting to recruit additional minors for higher-risk tasks.

One of the teenagers also posed as a soldier in Unit 8200 in an effort to obtain further assignments, while payments totaling hundreds of shekels were made partly in cryptocurrency.

The 2 continued some of their activity even after suspecting, and later knowing, that their handler was connected to Iran. One of the minors was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport upon returning to Israel.

The case was filed in the Haifa District Juvenile Court, with charges including contact with a foreign agent, providing information for the benefit of the enemy, assisting contact with a foreign agent, and property damage.

The minor spies received only $160 for their missions.

במשך קרוב לשני עשורים שימש אבו עוביידה כפניו הרעולות של ארגון הטרור וכדמות מרכזית במערך הלוחמה הפסיכולוגית שלו. הוא היה מעורב בהפצת תיעודי טבח 7 באוקטובר ובפרסום סרטוני החטופים, במטרה להטיל אימה ולהשפיע על הציבור בישראל.
חמאס הסתיר את דבר מותו במשך כארבעה חודשים, ורק בדצמבר 2025 אישר רשמית כי חוסל, חשף את פניו והציג דובר חדש שירש את הכינוי ״אבו עוביידה״.

One year ago today: #Hamas🔴 spokesman Abu Obeida was eliminated

On August 30, 2025, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Hudhayfa Kahlout, known as Abu Obeida, in Gaza City. He served as the spokesman for Hamas’s military wing and headed the terrorist organization’s propaganda apparatus.
For nearly two decades, Abu Obeida served as the masked face of the terrorist organization and as a central figure in its psychological warfare apparatus. He was involved in disseminating footage from the October 7 massacre and publishing videos of the hostages, with the aim of spreading fear and influencing the Israeli public.
Hamas concealed his death for approximately four months, and only in December 2025 officially confirmed that he had been eliminated, revealed his face, and introduced a new spokesman who inherited the name “Abu Obeida.”
