מאז מאי, בצילום האחרון לפני מספר ימים, לפתע הופיעו סימוני מסלול לבנים על מסלול ההמראה שרובד באספלט בחודש מאי.

זה אומר שמתחילים להשמיש את המסלול הזה ממש בקרוב.

יש לציין שעדיין לא ברור דיו מי אוחז בבסיס הזה. יש סיכוי שמדובר בכוחות בינלאומיים שמפקחים על הסכם השלום הישראלי-מצרי בסיני, אך אין אימות סופי.

Since May, a notable development has appeared in the latest satellite imagery taken just a few days ago: white runway markings have now been painted on the runway, which was resurfaced with asphalt in May.
This suggests that the runway is being prepared to return to operational use in the near future.
It should be noted that it is still unclear who currently controls or operates the base. One possibility is that it is being used by the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), which monitors the implementation of the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty in Sinai, but there is currently no definitive confirmation.
The base is located approximately 14 km west of the Israel-Egypt border. Expansion and rehabilitation work at the site began in January.
The work has included land clearing and leveling within the base, followed in recent months by the resurfacing of the previously abandoned runway with asphalt.
It remains unclear why these works are being carried out now, who is behind them, and what the intended purpose of the renewed facility is.

על רקע המציאות הביטחונית האזורית הזו, קולומביה מכירה בכך שהמשך השליטה והריבונות של ישראל על רמת הגולן הוא מרכיב חיוני בהגנתה הלאומית וביכולתה להגן על אזרחיה ולשמור על ביטחונם.

בהחלטה זו שבה קולומביה ומאשרת את מחויבותה לקידום שלום יציב ובר קיימא במזרח התיכון.

Colombia Recognizes Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights

In light of the persistent regional instability in the Middle East and considering the strategic importance of the Golan Heights to Israel's security, the Government of Colombia recognizes Israeli sovereignty over this territory, as well as that State's right to protect itself against external threats.

For decades, Israel has faced persistent and existential security challenges along its borders. These threats have intensified significantly in recent years, culminating in the horrific terrorist attacks of October 7, which highlighted the gravity and evolving nature of the dangers facing the Israeli people.

In this regional security context, Colombia recognizes that maintaining Israel's control and sovereignty over the Golan Heights is an essential component of its national defense and its ability to protect and safeguard its citizens.

With this decision, Colombia reaffirms its commitment to the pursuit of a stable and lasting peace in the Middle East.

אם חזבאללה יוכל לשוב למתחם, לשקם את התשתיות ולהציג את הישרדות פעיליו כהוכחה ל"ניצחון" – ישראל עלולה להפוך הישג מבצעי משמעותי לתמונת ניצחון והישג תודעתי משמעותיים מאוד של חזבאללה.

את תמונת הניצחון הזו אסור לישראל להעניק לחזבאללה. זהו גם האינטרס המובהק של מדינת לבנון ושל ארצות הברית.

כל הסדר עתידי בלבנון חייב להימדד לא רק בשאלה האם צה"ל נשאר בנקודה מסוימת, אלא במבחן הרבה יותר חשוב: האם קיימים מנגנון ויכולת אמינים שימנעו מחזבאללה לשוב אל הנכסים שנשללו ממנו ושיוכלו גם לספק הוכחות ברורות לכך.

A #Hezbollah🌟 victory image on the Ali al-Taher Ridge on the "day after" would serve as a mirror image of Israeli and American weakness. Such an outcome could undermine not only the struggle against the Shiite axis, but counterterrorism efforts worldwide.
If Hezbollah is allowed to return to the compound, rebuild its infrastructure, and portray the survival of its operatives as proof of "victory," Israel risks turning a significant operational achievement into an equally significant propaganda and psychological victory for Hezbollah.
Israel must not hand Hezbollah such a victory image. Preventing it is also clearly in the interests of Lebanon and the United States.
Any future arrangement in Lebanon must therefore be judged not merely by whether the IDF remains at a particular position, but by a far more important test: whether a credible mechanism and capability exist to prevent Hezbollah from returning to the assets and positions it has lost — and whether clear evidence can be provided that this is actually being enforced.
