שלושה גברים ושלוש נשים הותקפו על ידי קבוצת מוסלמים בצפון המדינה. הישראלים, ששירתו בעבר כלוחמים בצה"ל, הצליחו להדוף את התוקפים. במהלך הקטטה, אחד הישראלים נפצע וסבל משבר בלסת. "היה ניכר שזה על רקע אנטישמי", סיפר אחד מהם לכאן חדשות.
מטיילים ישראלים שטיילו השבוע בצפון מונגוליה הותקפו בגרזנים ובסכינים על ידי קבוצה של מוסלמים ממוצא קזחי, שקראו לעברם "הייל היטלר" ו"תעופו מפה".
האירוע החמור התרחש ביום שני האחרון באתר קמפינג באזור. הישראלים, שלושה גברים ושלוש נשים שטיילו בקרוואנים, נערכו לשהיית לילה, כשלפתע הגיחה קבוצת התוקפים והחלה לפעול נגדם באלימות קשה, תוך שימוש בנשק הקר.
הישראלים, ששירתו בעבר כלוחמים בצה"ל, מיהרו לנעול נעליים סגורות מחשש שהאירוע יסלים. בעודם אורזים במהירות את הציוד, פתחו הגברים המקומים במתקפה אלימה נגד קבוצת המטיילים.

במהלך העימות הפיזי, אחד הישראלים הדף את אחד התוקפים באמצעות בקבוק זכוכית, אחר נטרל תוקף נוסף, וישראלי שלישי ספג אגרוף חזק בפניו ונפצע באורח קל עם שבר בלסת.

הקבוצה הצליחה לבסוף להימלט מהמקום בסיוע של נהג מקומי, והפצוע הוטס בהמשך לישראל לקבלת טיפול רפואי. "היה ניכר לחלוטין שמדובר באירוע על רקע אנטישמי", שחזר א', אחד המטיילים שהותקפו, בשיחה עם כאן חדשות.

"עזבנו את מונגוליה רק לאחר שעדכנו את שגרירות ישראל בסין, שאחראית גם על האזור הזה. אנשי השגרירות והשגריר עצמו עמדו איתנו בקשר רציף וליוו אותנו לאורך כל הדרך", הוסיף.

Three men and three women were attacked by a group of Muslims in northern Mongolia. The Israelis, all of whom had previously served as combat soldiers in the IDF, managed to fight off the attackers. During the confrontation, one of the Israelis was injured and suffered a broken jaw.
"It was absolutely clear that this was an antisemitic attack," one of the victims told Kan News.
The incident took place on Monday at a campsite in northern Mongolia. The six Israelis were traveling in caravans and were preparing to spend the night when a group of Kazakh Muslims suddenly approached them and launched a violent assault using knives and axes.
Realizing the situation was escalating, the Israelis quickly put on closed-toe shoes while packing their equipment. Moments later, the attackers charged at them.
During the fight, one Israeli struck an attacker with a glass bottle in self-defense, another overpowered a second attacker, while a third Israeli was punched in the face, suffering a broken jaw.
The group eventually escaped with the help of a local Mongolian driver. The injured Israeli was later evacuated to Israel for medical treatment.
"It was completely obvious that this was motivated by antisemitism," one of the victims said.
"We left Mongolia only after informing the Israeli Embassy in China, which is also responsible for Mongolia. The embassy staff, including the ambassador, remained in constant contact with us and supported us throughout the entire ordeal."
