In recent months, the terrorists gathered with the goal of planning and carrying out terror attacks. They were eliminated in order to remove the threat.

Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.

IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

בית הדין הצבאי גזר את דינו של חייל צה״ל, אשר הורשע לפי הודאתו בעבירה של מגע עם סוכן חוץ ובעבירה של מסירת ידיעה העלולה להיות לתועלת האויב. בעקבות המקרה נפתחה חקירה משולבת של היחידה לחקירות מיוחדות במשטרה הצבאית החוקרת, היאחב״ל ושב״כ שהבשילה לכדי העמדה לדין.

הנאשם הורשע בכך שבמהלך שנת 2025 קיבל לחשבון הטלגרם שלו הודעות מגורמים שונים, אשר חלקם זוהו עם איראן, הכוללות הצעות עבודה שונות. כמו כן, קיבל הנאשם הודעה מסוכן חוץ איראני ששאל את הנאשם אם ירצה להרוויח כסף עבור משימות צילום שונות. בהמשך לכך, שלח הנאשם לסוכן החוץ האיראני שני סרטונים בהם נראים יירוטים של טילים, אותם צילם במהלך מבצע ״עם כלביא״ במקומות אזרחיים, וקיבל תמורת אחד מהם תשלום. בנוסף, שלח הנאשם לסוכן החוץ האיראני מספר סרטונים ממקומות אזרחיים, בהם סרטון שכולל תיעוד לפגיעת טילים אותו איתר הנאשם במרשתת. לבסוף, בעקבות לחץ שחש הנאשם, עדכן גורם ביחידתו כי היה בקשר עם סוכן חוץ, ולמחרת נעצר ע״י שירות הביטחון הכללי.

במסגרת הטיעונים לעונש, התביעה הצבאית ביקשה לגזור על הנאשם עונש של 7 שנות מאסר בפועל, לצד רכיבי ענישה נוספים, תוך שהדגישה את היבטי החומרה והסיכון הגלומים במעשיו של הנאשם, ואת הצורך בהרתעתו של הנאשם ובהרתעת הרבים.

בית הדין הצבאי התייחס בגזר הדין לחומרת העבירות בהן הורשע הנאשם, להיותו של הנאשם חייל ולמצב המלחמה השורר במדינה. לצד זאת, נתן בית הדין הצבאי משקל לכך שהנאשם לא מסר מידע צבאי או מידע שהגיע אליו מתוקף תפקידו, כמו גם העובדה שהנאשם הוא שקטע את הקשר עם הסוכן וכן דיווח מייד על עצם הקשר למפקדיו.

בית הדין הצבאי גזר על הנאשם עונש של 5 שנות מאסר לריצוי בפועל, לצד עונש מאסר מותנה, קנס בסך 1,000 ש״ח והורדה לדרגת טוראי.

נזכיר כי כל קשר למול גורם עוין, אסור על פי חוק. גופי הביטחון ימשיכו לפעול לאיתור וסיכול פעילות טרור וריגול בישראל, וגופי האכיפה ימשיכו לפעול למיצוי הדין מול כלל המעורבים בפעילות זו.

Military Court Sentences Active-Duty Soldier to Five Years in Prison for Contact with a Foreign Agent and Transferring Information That Could Benefit the Enemy
A military court has sentenced an IDF soldier who pleaded guilty to the offenses of contact with a foreign agent and transferring information that could benefit the enemy. The case was investigated jointly by the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division's Special Investigations Unit, Lahav 433, and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), leading to the soldier's indictment.
According to the conviction, during 2025 the soldier received messages on his Telegram account from various individuals, some of whom were identified as being linked to Iran, offering him different job opportunities. He was later contacted by an Iranian foreign agent who asked whether he would be interested in earning money by carrying out various photography assignments.
The soldier subsequently sent the Iranian agent two videos showing missile interceptions, which he had filmed in civilian areas during Operation "Rising Lion," and received payment for one of them. In addition, he sent the Iranian agent several other videos from civilian locations, including footage of a missile impact that he had found online.
Eventually, after feeling increasing pressure, the soldier informed a member of his unit that he had been in contact with a foreign agent. He was arrested by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) the following day.
During the sentencing proceedings, the military prosecution requested a prison sentence of seven years, along with additional penalties, emphasizing the severity and risks inherent in the soldier's actions, as well as the need for both individual and general deterrence.
In its ruling, the military court considered the seriousness of the offenses, the fact that the defendant was an active-duty soldier, and the wartime circumstances in Israel. At the same time, the court gave weight to the fact that the soldier had not disclosed classified military information or information obtained through his military duties, and that he himself terminated the contact with the foreign agent and immediately
