Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said Saudi fighter jets attempted to stop the plane from landing but were forced back after Houthi air defenses intervened. Saree thanked Iran for initiating the move and warned that any further Saudi violation of Yemeni airspace would trigger retaliation against Saudi airports and vital interests on land and at sea.
