הניסיון התעמולתי של קאציר להמציא סד"כ איראני מנופח נועד להצדיק את "איחוד הזירות" של "ציר ההתנגדות", ולהוכיח שטהראן לא רק שלא הפקירה את חיזבאללה - אלא ממש נלחמת לצידו בשטח. בפועל, השקר הגס הזה הפך אותו ללעג ולקלס באולפן.

​אולם בלבנון, מתנגדי הארגון לקחו את הדברים ברצינות מוחלטת. תנועת "הכוחות הלבנוניים" ופעילים באופוזיציה הגדירו את הפליטה הזו כ"הודאה בכיבוש צבאי איראני", דרשו להעמידו לדין וקראו לממשלה לחקור מיד את נוכחות הלוחמים הזרים במדינה.

​בשורה התחתונה, בעוד שהמספרים האלו הם המצאה מופרכת, הנתון הממשי והמדאיג הוא נוכחותם דה-פקטו של לערך מאות קצינים ויועצים בכירים ממשה"מ שמנהלים את הלחימה של חיזבאללה מאחורי הקלעים.

50,000 Iranian soldiers fighting in southern Lebanon? 10,000 of them killed in the battles for the Ali al-Taher Ridge?

There are 50,000 Iranians fighting in southern Lebanon right now... and I can confirm that there are around 10,000 Iranian martyrs whose funerals are being prepared. We are waiting for the airport to reopen.

50,000 Iranian soldiers?! Right now?! We're talking about proxies, not regular Iranian troops...

Is the Lebanese state even aware that there are foreign fighters operating on its territory?

Qasir's apparent attempt to inflate the size of the Iranian presence was likely intended to reinforce the narrative of the so-called "Axis of Resistance" and to demonstrate that Tehran has not abandoned Hezbollah, but is actively fighting alongside it on the ground. In practice, however, the claim was so extreme that it became the subject of ridicule in the studio.
In Lebanon, however, Hezbollah's opponents took the remarks very seriously. Members of the Lebanese Forces and opposition activists described the statement as an "admission of an Iranian military occupation," called for Qasir to be prosecuted, and urged the government to immediately investigate the alleged presence of foreign fighters in the country.
Bottom Line
While these figures appear highly implausible and unsupported, the more significant issue is the widely reported de facto presence of hundreds of senior officers and advisers from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who are believed to assist and advise Hezbollah's military operations behind the scenes.
