במהלך הלילה (ד'), כוחות צה"ל מחטיבת הבקעה והעמקים לוחמי יחידת מתיל"ן של מג״ב איו״ש ויחידת גבול ירדן במחוז ש״י בהכוונת תצפיתניות, סרקו בסמוך לגדר הגבול המזרחית.

במסגרת הסריקות, הכוחות איתרו שק שכלל 26 אקדחים ומחסניות תחמושת.

האקדחים שאותרו הועברו להמשך טיפול במחוז ש״י של משטרת ישראל.

כוחות הביטחון פרוסים במרחב הגבול המזרחי במטרה לשמור על ביטחון אזרחי מדינת ישראל.

IDF soldiers and Border Police thwart an attempt to smuggle 26 handguns across the eastern border

Overnight (Wednesday), IDF soldiers and Judea and Samaria Border Police, operating with the direction of field observers, conducted searches near the eastern border.

During the searches, the soldiers located a bag containing 26 handguns and munitions.

The handguns that were seized were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police for further processing.

Israeli security forces are deployed along the eastern border in order to safeguard the security of the citizens of the State of Israel.
