תלמידה מאזור שוויפאת פנתה לדובר צה"ל בערבית אל"ם אביחי אדרעי באינסטגרם וטענה כי בבית ספרה מוסתרים אמל"ח של #חיזבאללה🌟 .
הטענה, שהתבררה בהמשך ככוזבת לפי הרשויות בלבנון, נועדה ככל הנראה כדי להתחמק מהבחינות - עוררה סערה בארץ הארזים. היא והוריה עוכבו לחקירה ולבסוף שוחררו.

במקביל, תושבים באזור סיפרו כי במהלך היומיים שלאחר ההודעה נצפתה פעילות חריגה של כטב"מים בשמי שוויפאת וסביב בית הספר.

בהודעה רשמית שהופצה להורי התלמידים, הנהלת בית הספר הבהירה:

כל תלמיד שיוכח כי היה מעורב בפגיעה בבית הספר או בהתייחסות אליו בכל מעשה או אמירה המנוגדים לחוק ולנהלים - חשף את עצמו לאחריות משפטית. החקירה עדיין מתנהלת, כאשר כל מי שיוכח במעורבותו יישא באחריות המלאה למעשיו, הוא והוריו.

Unusual event in the Beirut area:
A student from the Shafiat area contacted the IDF Arabic spokesman, Col. Avichai Adraee, on Instagram and claimed that #Hezbollah🌟 weapons were hidden in her school .
The claim, which later turned out to be false according to the Lebanese authorities, was apparently intended to evade exams - causing a stir in the land of cedars. She and her parents were detained for questioning and eventually released.

At the same time, residents of the area said that during the two days following the announcement, unusual drone activity was observed in the skies over Shafiat and around the school.

In an official statement distributed to the students' parents, the school administration clarified:

Any student who proves to have been involved in harming the school or in relating to it in any act or statement that is contrary to the law and procedures - exposes himself to legal liability." It was also noted that the investigation is still ongoing, and anyone who proves his involvement will bear full responsibility for his actions, both he and his parents.

Avichai addresses the school in a statement after the case of the student who contacted him:

Have your conversation with the student based on empathy and not punishment; there may be someone harassing or pressuring her!
