Iranโ€™s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi:
Tehran and Washington have reached an understanding on main principles during today's talks in Geneva.

There has been good developments compared to last round.

Two parties will work on potential agreement documents and exchange them. This does not mean that we will reach an agreement soon but the path has started.

I can say compared to the last round weโ€™ve had very serious discussions and there was a constructive atmosphere where we exchanged our point of view.

Those ideas were discussed and we came to some agreements and some main principles. And based on those principles, we will eventually draft a documentโ€ฆ We are hopeful we can achieve this.

When we reach the stage of drafting a document, naturally the process will slow down.

Earlier this week (Sunday), the IDF precisely struck and eliminated several terrorists of the Syrian Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Majdal Anjar area in Lebanon.

The terrorists were attempting to cross the border from Lebanon to Syria, after recently operating to advance attacks against the State of Israel from Lebanese territory.

The terroristsโ€™ actions posed an immediate threat to the civilians of the State of Israel and IDF troops.

The IDF will continue to operate to thwart attempts to transfer weapons and terrorists on the Lebanese-Syrian border in order to defend Israeli civilians and IDF troops.

It pays for Iran to delay the talks:
In the last two or three weeks, Iran has covered the sensitive Taleqan-2 facility at the strategic base in Parchin, effectively protecting it from a possible attack.

In its first report since the 12-Day War, the IAEA reports that Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium has grown.

Iran possessed approximately 409 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium on May 31st 2025, which increased to 441 kilograms by June 12th, 2025 - a 7.8% increase in less than two weeks.

Since the beginning of the 12-Day War on June 13th, 2025, the IAEA has not had access to Iran's uranium stockpile or nuclear sites, and is therefore unable to verify whether its stockpile of highly enriched uranium has grown since then.
