Turkey's Grand National Assembly during the swearing-in ceremony of Akın Gürlek, Istanbul's former Chief Public Prosecutor, as the new Justice Minister following a Cabinet reshuffle by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Opposition CHP lawmakers attempted to block Gürlek from taking the oath, protesting his appointment as an attack on the rule of law due to his role in high-profile prosecutions against opposition figures, including Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoglu.

Gürlek ultimately took the oath, protected by AKP members, alongside new Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi.

The David's Sling air defense system has successfully completed a series of advanced tests, built on the lessons of combat, to intercept rockets, missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft and drones.

The tests were carried out in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces, the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Rafael, and constitute a significant upgrade to the operational capability of the system, which is a central layer in Israel's multi-layered defense system.

Facing threats: From the Arrow system, through Sling to Iron Dome - the Israeli air defense system is stretched from end to end.
