יחידה 121 של חיזבאללה חיסלה ארבע דמויות לבנוניות בולטות מחשש שיגלו את נסיבות הפיצוץ בנמל ביירות באוגוסט 2020, שנגרם עקב אחסון אמוניום חנקתי של חיזבאללה. בין ההרוגים היו קציני מכס ועיתונאים שהצביעו על קשר בין חיזבאללה לפיצוץ.

חיזבאללה הכחיש מעורבות בארבעת ההתנקשויות, והחקירה בכל מקרה מעולם לא הושלמה. אירועים אלה משלימים את ההתנקשות ברפיק אל-חרירי ואת ההתנקשות באליאס אל-חצרוני, שבה נחשפה מעורבות חיזבאללה בעבר - כמו גם רשימה ארוכה של מקרים שטרם פורסמו.

The IDF reports that Hezbollah's Unit 121 killed four prominent Lebanese figures out of fear that they would reveal the circumstances of the August 2020 Beirut port explosion, which was caused by Hezbollah's storage of ammonium nitrate. Among those killed were customs officers and journalists who had pointed to a connection between Hezbollah and the explosion.
Hezbollah denied involvement in the four assassinations, and the investigation into each case was never completed. These events complement the assassination of Rafik al-Hariri and the assassination of Elias al-Hatzruni, in which Hezbollah's involvement was previously revealed – as well as a long list of cases that have not yet been made public.
