The polls have officially opened in the first elections for the Syrian parliament since the fall of the Assad regime.

For the first time since the fall of the Assad regime, the government in Damascus is holding elections for a parliament (People's Council) that will consist of 210 members (140 elected and 70 sponsored by the president). The elections are taking place in most of Syria's provinces, with the exception of the Druze Mountains, the Sweida province in the south of the country, and the provinces of Raqqa and Hasakah, which are mainly controlled by the Kurds. It is important to note that the citizens themselves do not vote directly, but rather electoral bodies represent them, as it were. And another anecdote: There is an unusual Jewish candidate in the elections, Henry Hamra from the Syrian Jewish community in the United States.

Masked Arabs roamed freely in the community, the IDF refused to inform residents

On Saturday night at 1:00 AM, two masked Arabs infiltrated the Na'ale community in Binyamin. Only after 3 hours of the suspects roaming around were they discovered on a resident's private security cameras.
The deputy chief of police wanted to activate an alarm to inform the residents, but a senior IDF official prevented him from doing so, and so in addition to the failure to infiltrate and the failure to detect, there was also the failure to inform the residents, as is customary in cases of terrorist attacks (after all, it is not known whether there are other suspects at that stage and whether they are terrorists).

After an inspection, several houses were found to have been broken into that evening.

סגן הרבש"ץ רצה להפעיל אזעקה כדי ליידע את התושבים אולם גורם צה״לי בכיר מנע זאת ממנו וכך בנוסף למחדל החדירה ולמחדל חוסר הגילוי נוסף מחדל אי עדכון התושבים כמו שנהוג במקרי פח״ע ( הרי לא ידוע אם יש עוד חשודים באותו השלב והאם מדובר במחבלים)

לאחר בדיקה נמצאו מספר בתים שנפרצו באותו ערב.
