The IDF Completed a Series of Strikes Against Military Targets Belonging to the Houthi Terrorist Regime in Sanaa

A short while ago, dozens of IAF aircraft, guided by IDF intelligence, struck military targets belonging to the security and intelligence apparatus and the military of the Houthi terror regime in the Sanaa area, Yemen.

Among the targets struck were the Houthi General Staff Command Headquarters, compounds of the terrorist regime’s security and intelligence apparatus, the Houthis’ military public relations headquarters, and military camps where weapons and military operatives of the Houthi terrorist regime were identified in the Sanaa area.

The strikes were carried out in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist regime against the State of Israel and its civilians, including the launching of UAVs and surface-to-surface missiles toward Israeli territory.

The security and intelligence apparatus is one of the internal security mechanisms of the Houthi terrorist regime; it takes part in terrorist activities and directly contributes to military actions against the State of Israel that undermine stability in the Middle East. The security and intelligence apparatus is also involved in repressing regime opponents through the use of political prisons and torture.

The military camps that were struck are used by the Houthi terrorist regime to store weapons and to plan and execute terrorist attacks against the State of Israel.

The Houthi terrorist regime operates under Iranian direction and funding, in order to harm the State of Israel and its allies. The regime exploits the maritime domain to project force and carry out terror activity against the global shipping and trade routes.

The IDF will operate against the ongoing and repeated attacks of the Houthi terrorist regime against the State of Israel, will conduct additional offensive operations against the Houthi regime in the near future, and remains determined to remove any threat posed to the civilians of the State of Israel, at whatever distance is required.

Defense minister Katz oversaw the strike from the IDF underground headquarters in Tel Aviv’s Kirya base.

התקיפות בוצעו נוכח התקיפות שמוביל שלטון הטרור החות'י נגד מדינת ישראל, במסגרתן שוגרו כלי טיס בלתי מאוישים וטילי קרקע-קרקע לעבר שטח מדינת ישראל.

מנגנון הביטחון והמודיעין, הוא אחד ממנגנוני ביטחון הפנים של שלטון הטרור החות'י, הלוקח חלק בפעולות טרור ותורם באופן ישיר לקידום פעילויות צבאיות נגד מדינת ישראל המערערות את היציבות במזרח התיכון. כמו כן, עוסק בדיכוי מתנגדי המשטר תוך שימוש בבתי כלא פוליטיים ועינויים.

המחנות הצבאיים שהותקפו משמשים את שלטון הטרור לאחסנת אמצעי לחימה וכן עבור תכנון והוצאה לפועל של מתווי טרור נגד מדינת ישראל.

צה"ל יפעל בעוצמה אל מול התקיפות החוזרות והנשנות של שלטון הטרור החות'י נגד מדינת ישראל, יוציא לפועל פעולות התקפיות נוספות בקרוב למול החות'ים, ונחוש להמשיך לפגוע בעוצמה בכל איום על אזרחי מדינת ישראל, בכל מרחק בו יידרש.

Following the UAV fall yesterday (Wednesday) in the city of Eilat, an initial inquiry conducted by the Commander of the Israeli Air Force suggested that the UAV was detected relatively late, and that Home Front Command sirens were activated as required in accordance with protocol.

Interception attempts were made using the Iron Dome, but were unsuccessful. The cause for that has been identified, and corrective measures were implemented.

The Commander of the Israeli Air Force has instructed several additional steps to strengthen readiness, detection, and interception capabilities, and will provide an enhanced defensive response in the area.
