The Office of the Chief Scientist at the Ministry of National Security and the Prison Service have successfully completed the development and techno-operational demonstration of rail-mounted robots designed to secure borders, bases and sensitive facilities, implemented and executed by the company Traxmatic.
The series of experiments was carried out on the walls of the 'Ella' prison in Beersheba and was made possible thanks to cooperation between the ministries.

As part of the operational lessons learned in the "Iron Swords" war, several scenarios were examined during development and testing that simulate existing and future threats that the system may face in routine and during conflict, including: remote detection of people and vehicles, automatic tracking, improved warning capabilities, observation and terrain holding capabilities in difficult visibility conditions, and additional systems and means were integrated that enable remote operational response. The project combines security and civilian uses and includes robots that receive energy through inductive charging from the track, which allows them to operate 24 hours a day without interruption. The system does not operate alone, and will be integrated in the near future as part of a defense concept for borders, base camps, and prisons - which contain means and technologies that together constitute an operational complement.

The new capabilities demonstrated in the experiment constitute a significant leap forward in the ability to deal with the threats developing across the country's borders, as well as internal threats to prisons, security facilities, bases, and more.

כחלק מהלקחים המבצעיים שנלמדו במלחמת "חרבות הברזל" נבחנו במהלך הפיתוח והניסויים מספר תרחישים המדמים איומים קיימים ועתידיים, שעימם עשויה המערכת להתמודד בשגרה ובזמן עימות, ביניהם: גילוי אדם וכלי רכב ממרחק, מעקב אוטומטי, יכולות התראה משופרות, יכולת תצפית ואחיזת שטח בתנאי ראות קשים וכן שולבו מערכות ואמצעים נוספים המאפשרים תגובה מבצעית מרחוק. הפרויקט משלב שימושים ביטחוניים ואזרחיים וכולל רובוטים אשר מקבלים אנרגיה בטעינה אינדוקטיבית מהמסילה, דבר המאפשר להם לפעול 24 שעות ביממה ללא הפסקה. המערכת אינה פועלת לבדה, והיא תשולב בעתיד הקרוב כחלק מתפיסת הגנה לגבולות, מחנות בסיסים ובתי כלא – אשר קיימים בהם אמצעים וטכנולוגיות המהווים יחד השלמה מבצעית.

היכולות החדשות שהוכחו בניסוי מהוות קפיצת דרך משמעותית ביכולת התמודדות עם האיומים המתפתחים בכל גבולות המדינה וכן גם לאיומים מבפנים על בתי כלא, מתקנים ביטחוניים, בסיסים ועוד.
