Last Monday, a man attended Juniper Salon for a scheduled appointment. After hearing his foreign accent, the owner, Katrina Ann Smith (who goes by Trina), asked where he was from. When he replied “Israel,” Smith allegedly called him a “genocidal baby killer” and ordered him to leave.
The customer, who spoke to Rebel News, confirmed he intends to take legal action. Penalties for breaches of anti-discrimination law can exceed $100,000 in fines, and tribunals can order offenders to undergo anti-discrimination training.

The Lebanese President, Joseph Aoun, held an interview with Layal Alekhtiar for Al Arabiya channel
from his interview:

I promise the Lebanese at home and abroad that we will continue, and there is no turning back. Change is not easy to achieve overnight, but it has begun and is tangible.

We greatly rely on the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in reviving the situation in Lebanon, and the relationship between the two countries dates back to the founding king, and no one would squander it.

Communications with Israel are through the Americans, the French, and the parties that only wish to help. But there is no party or mediator undertaking any Lebanese-Israeli dialogue, and anything beyond that is mere talk.

I have two options, either agree to the paper and demand that the world obtain Israel's approval, or disagree and escalate the pace of attacks and economically isolate Lebanon.

Iran is a friendly country, but on the basis of mutual respect and preserving sovereignty. We do not allow ourselves to interfere in its affairs or those of any other country, just as we do not accept interference in our affairs.

The resettlement of Palestinians is completely rejected by us, and this is a matter of principle.

When he was asked him if he would consider expelling the iranian ambassador and cutting ties with Iran, Aoun replied: "Everything is on the table, anything is possible."

Aoun's comments on the Barrack/American paper:

— The paper is a roadmap for the 2024 ceasefire agreement that the previous [pro-Hezbollah] government had agreed to.

— It was reviewed by the Lebanese President, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament. A committee was formed, comments were made, and a back-and-forth exchange of updated drafts followed.

— Initially, the paper contained no guarantees for Lebanon. It was later amended at Lebanon’s request, stipulating that implementation would proceed step by step. The paper only becomes effective if Israel, Lebanon, and Syria all agree to it. Thus, after the amendments, it became a Lebanese paper.

— The provisions include: Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, the liberation of [Hezbollah] hostages, cessation of Israeli strikes, demarcation of borders with Syria, revival of the Lebanese economy, and reconstruction of Lebanon.

“As Head of State, my responsibility is to safeguard the interests of Lebanon and all Lebanese. Before us are two choices:

— If I agree to the paper, I can tell the world that Lebanon has fulfilled its obligations. The international community will then be expected to fulfill its part: securing Israel’s approval, ensuring Israeli withdrawal, releasing prisoners, stabilizing the borders, and reviving the economy.

— If I reject the paper, Israel will intensify its strikes against Lebanon possibly with the support of the international community. Lebanon would then face economic isolation, unable to respond effectively, and those who believe anyone will come to Lebanon’s aid would be under an illusion.

This is a sensitive and delicate matter. There are no middle options, only black or white. We must choose what is best for all Lebanese.”

President Aoun clarified that Lebanon did not receive any threat of an Israeli attack should it reject the American paper. What the Americans made clear, however, is that Lebanon would then fall outside their sphere of interest.
