The Lebanese government's intention to collect Hezbollah's weapons is very positive, but its logistical capabilities are limited. We are prepared to use force to dismantle Hezbollah's weapons if necessary.

A week ago I convened the cabinet and we established five principles for ending the war:

1. Disarming Hamas.

2. Returning all the hostages - both living and dead. We are not giving up on anyone.

3. Disarming the Strip - not only disarming Hamas, but also ensuring that weapons are not manufactured in the Strip and that weapons are not smuggled into the Strip.

4. Israeli security control in the Gaza Strip, including the security perimeter.

5. An alternative civilian government that is not Hamas and not the Palestinian Authority - people who will not educate their children to terrorism, will not finance terrorism and will not send terrorism.

These five principles will ensure Israel's security. This is the meaning of the word 'victory'.

This is what we are working on - and it is good for everyone to internalize this.

לפני שבוע כינסתי את הקבינט וקבענו חמישה עקרונות לסיום המלחמה:
